Nothing. It is fine, I just didn't see that you have to change some things in the advanced tab to get it work right.

If you search by author it only shows threads started by that person.

Click on the persons name and view profile, then "find all posts"

Also, when you search for kewords it just takes you to the thread, and not the specific page of the thread.

After you search the keyword, when you go into the thread, at the top of the first post, click on "search thread"

I already figured it out... that's not what I did though. Under the advanced search tab, click "seach single content type" then at the bottom you have to switch it from type "thread" to "posts."


Anyway... the old forum search function just worked, I didn't have to work all this tech magic on it.

Real talk, I know there are some growning pains switching to vbulletin, but overall this one is much better. I'm still fooling around with a lot of shit, a lot of options on here now.
