No, it's Salt Lake, where we elect democrat mayors and you can get drugs and hookers just like in any other city.
Now that I think about it, you're right, large lakes generally are found only inside the city.I heart cockComment

So you live in a city called Salt Lake City that doesnt have a lake? Odd name2015 MMA BETTING CHAMP

All screwing off aside I like where I live . There's no crime at all ,90% of the time I leave the front door unlocked when I leave. I dont know about where you guys live but I'd never live in a place with crime. If I wouldnt feel safe walking the dog at 2am I dont want to live there. I'm actually looking to move back out into the country side here soon2015 MMA BETTING CHAMP

I don't know that I'd ever want to give up the benefits of living inside a decent sized city. Whether it's bookstores or restaurants, independent film theaters or live theaters, traveling off-Broadway shows, concerts, good bars, and a variety of random cultural shit, there's always some cool shit to get into if I do so feel inclined.
But everyone is different. And if you like getting down the way you do, then it's cool. I wouldn't mind having a cabin up in the mountains where I was miles away from everyone, but I wouldn't want it to be my only residence.I heart cockComment

LOL that was my last house and no I'm not kidding. A log cabin on 11 acres of woods and a 3 acre pond down a 350 foot lane . I'd upload pics but its quicker to just see it on google maps
everyones different ,I dont think I'd be happy in a big city2015 MMA BETTING CHAMP

Svino,
Dake caught the break of all breaks... Caldwell injury defaulted in the quarters. Dake still has a tough match, but he is probably going to meet Molinaro in the finals tomorrow. Should be a great match, I am pulling for Dake. I don't think Dake could have beaten Caldwell, but he has a great chance against Molinaro. Molinaro is really tough though and he is stout and hard to score on. Dake is going to have to pull some funk to win that.
Man, 149, 157 and 171 are CRAZY this year. I really want to see if Taylor can do it at 157. 171 has Lewnes (returning champ), Reader (#1 seed), and Ruth (freshman stud from Penn State). I got Ruth winning it, personally, but I will be pulling for Lewnes.
Penn State is up now 30.5 to Cornell's 29. Iowa doesn't have a chance IMO, but they have 24. I suppose if Caldwell and Mcdonough both won, and everything wen wrong with Cornell and PSU, they could win it.Last edited by MMA_scientist; 03-17-2011, 10:30 PM.2012: +19.33

There are pnly 186,000 people in SLC. Not what I would call a major metro area. I would call that a small to medium sized city (same as where I live, which has only about 120,000). But my town and Ft. Wayne (which has over 200,000 people are really just afterthoughts, not really considered major cities.
Utah has only 2.7 million people in the entire state. Ohio has over 11 million people, despite being half the size of Utah, area wise.
Just saying, Utah is the boonies, including SLC (IMO). BUt it is all relative. I lived in Indianapolis, which is over 10 SLCs put together population wise, and the people from Chicago still thought we were hillbillies. I also lived in a town of 12,000 and they though the town of 4000 were a bunch of hoosiers.
That said, Utah is awesome and Ohio sucks pretty hard.2012: +19.33

^^^ Well the Wasatch Front, which is basically Salt Lake's metro area, is something like 1.3 million. That's about the same size metro area as Memphis, TN.
Neither really are "large" cities when compared to Chicago or Dallas (where I also lived) or New York, but they're "major" cities I think for various reasons that go beyond their size. We hosted the Olympics, we host the Sundance film festival, we have an NBA team, and we get a shitload of tourist activity because a) for whatever reason conferences really like to come here and, b) we have some of the best snow skiing in the world.I heart cockComment
