Frank Mir is so delusional. I don't understand how anyone can like this guy. I get that Zak supports him because they have the same haircut, but other than that...

Anyway, apparently he hits a lot harder than JDS and guys just fly halfway across the cage when he hits them.

I guess he trolling the entire time he was on TUF too, because he had that same douchebag attitude the entire time. I really don't think he is clever enough to troll that consistently, I really think he is just a fag.

            Oh, Mir.

Yeah, I think he believes it, too. I really think that in his mind any time he's lost a fight there was some kind of extenuating circumstance. Even if that circumstance was a mistake he made, it's something that can be fixed. It's not that he's simply not good enough.

Anyone remember when Frank Mir said he was pretty sure he could beat a Lion in a fight?

They really do. Seriously though, it is like they are purposely trying to confuse us. Many of these guys are just going by made up names too... then you have two brothers that look nearly identical and go by the same nickname. Patricio Pitbull Freire and Patcricky Pitbull Freire. Antonio Rodrigo Minotauro Noguiera and Antonio Rogerio Minotoro Noguira. WTF, come up with a different name that your twin. If your parents couldn't get creative, now is your chance, use your nickname to help us distinguish you from your brother...

Apparenly, Mir can beat Cain too.

"Right now in the UFC I believe I would give him the best fight right now and that’s not taking anything away from him as I feel he is the best fighter in the world right now. I would really be hard-pressed to defeat him, the only reason I pose a bigger threat than some of the other guys is because we really don’t know how well he defends submissions. I think it would take someone who could keep him down for awhile and test how he fights off of his back. Obviously his wrestling is extraordinary as evidenced in his fight against Brock, but who knows how well he would do if he were put in a dangerous spot with a good submission artist. His striking is good, but he does throw short punches which got him in trouble with Cheick Kongo, but unfortunately for Kongo he could not stay on his feet. I think Carwin would be a good match-up for him as well. He punches hard enough to keep his opponents honest and is difficult to put down. Carwin would probably have a good chance at stuffing Cain’s shot, but we really don’t know how well Carwin fights off his back either."
Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir believes he can give division kingpin Cain Velasquez "the best fight right now" as he heads into UFC 130 on May 28 to try and prove he still belongs in the upper echelon of Zuffa heavyweights. The best argument he can make is stopping Roy Nelson a week from Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but does whooping "Big Country" get him a shot at the belt? Or the loser of Shane Carwin vs. Junior dos Santos? And do you agree with his assessment of Velasquez? Mir tells Bryan Levick that Cain has yet to demonstrate how well he "fights off his back" -- but who amongst the 265-pounders is good enough to keep him there?

I didn't even realize that about the Super Freire Bros. until the other day when PP kept calling Patricky "Pitbull." I had to double-check the shit because I thought his ass was getting them mixed up.

They seriously need to merge the UFC HW's with SF. Put Mir in with Werdum and watch Werdum create absolute wreckage on Mir's ground game, for a battle of submission artists. We already saw what happened when he tried to grapple with a real world class guy (Pe De Pano)... Mir's ground game is overrated and Cain would beat his ass relentlessly. It wouldn't even be competitive IMO. Overeem/Cain can battle for the belt. Cormier/Lesnar can battle out the wrestling. Carwin/Bigfoot can battle for best HW that has been caught for steroid use. JDS/Fedor would be good times. It needs to happen.
