I more or less agree. Of course, though, a "main event" is really sort of an arbitrary classification that just means that that fight comes last at a particular event. It's not really any more significant in the grand scheme of the sport in the same sense that a title fight is.

3 round fights are just overall dumb unless you've only had 5 or less fights. After that everyone should be fighting 5 rounders not just main events

I know zY would agree with you, but I think I'm willing to make the concession in order to avoid every Fitch fight being 5 rounds. Not that Fitch isn't awesome. But I don't want to see him do his thing for 25 minutes.

And this is good news. Honestly I don't care about the consistency or perceived fairness or whatever, just give me more 5 round fights. It's a step in the right direction.

Then again, it could go the other way. If his fight with Mike Pierce had gone beyond 3 rounds then who knows what would've happened.

Any time you can avoid a decision and let them fight it out longer to decide a winner, I am in favor. There a ton of fights that would most likely go the other way in a 5 rounder. The UFC ends their telecast 30 minutes early every damn time anyway...

Yeah, that's the other thing, I want AT LEAST 5 fights per PPV and if they can't do that with all fights being 5 rounds then, again, I can't get aboard that train.

3 fights per PPV? Dont PPVs last 3 hours? Boxing usually puts two 12 round fights and two 10 rounders on a PPV card ,thats 132 minutes of fights which is five 5 rounders in MMA so there's plenty of time to put on 5 fights they would just have to cut out a lot of the BS no one wants to hear anyway
