Just saw this. My unit IS static, that is why I was getting so frustrated. At least I got everything solved now. After UFC 129 (end of April, so after 1/3 of the year), I plan on switching things up. Hopefully I will be in the green or back to where I was when I started. I am contemplating going to a 20u bankroll.

I've contemplated this many times. I'm tempted to do it, but with the way I've been doing lately, it would just be a recipe for disaster.

Yeah, I know for sure that I am going to have to limit my bets a lot, and even bet fractional units on some favorites. Even though I do not make the bets all the time, it seems to me that I am pretty good at getting the "fight goes the distance/not goes the distance" props. I don't think I have lost one of those yet, except for Demetrious Johnson vs Damacio Page..I had over 2.5 rounds and Johnson got the sub like 4 seconds before over 2.5 rounds.

By static you mean that your unit size changes everytime you win or lose a bet? I'm keeping mine the same amount of money for the entire year. My original bankroll for the year/50.
                1 unit = 300 $

I re-divide after every event. So my unit is always 2% of whatever my bankroll is. By "static" I mean that your unit stays the same, so if you Started with $5000 and you use a 50u bankroll, your unit would be $100 all the time regardless of wins or losses.

I always have money tied up and of course I never know if I am gonna lose it so I don't redivide.

What kind of bankrolls are you guys working with? I started the year with 2k.
                      1 unit = 300 $

                        so 1u = 40 dollars.

                          I started the year with $5k, I am down 5u, so I am playing with $4500 right now. So 1u = $90

I started with $1,000 this year. My unit has been $20 all year. Once I stop being a bus boy/full time student I will play with more :)

My unit is $20 and has been for a long time. My bankroll started at about $700 and grew to about $1200. Now it's back to about $700.

I continue to use a $20 unit in any case.
