LaRosa is no slouch in the grappling department. She fought a very close fight against Modafferi and Modafferi is a good grappler. And before you think anything negative about Roxy, bear in mind that she's only lost two fights in a row and those fights were to Kaufman and Rosi Sexton, both bad asses.
Damm is also a pretty good grappler, but she's small. She should really be fighting at 115, I think. If giant ass Zoila Frausto can make 115 then she definitely can. Also, I think any nonsense about Damm KOing anyone in this fight is just that. I really don't think anyone will be KOd in any fashion.
LaRosa also has better wins. She has beaten Modafferi, Hitomi Akano, Julie Kedzie, Shayna Baszler, Sally Krumdiack, and Takayo Hashi, who just fought Sarah Kaufman for the SF title.
Damm's best win is Jessica Aguilar, which is quality. She also has wins over Vanessa Porto and Molly Helsel, which are good, but not great.
With all that said, I actually hope that Damm wins and I thought that the line was off when I saw it.
Also, admittedly, I may be being swayed too much by watching Damm take two back-to-back losses against Akano and this bitch:
