You think Joe Silva doesn't have a ranking system? They just don't publish it. That way they can justify Dan Hardy getting a title shot if they need to.

How did Brock Lensar get ranked the number 1 contender then with a 1-1 record UFC and his lone UFC win over Herring? Somehow he lost to Mir and passed him in the rankings

Of course they rank fighters internally. Everything else is ridiculously micromanaged. What makes you think the talent isn't? Just because it doesn't always correlate to title shots is evidence of nothing. Like I said, if they published rankings they'd have much less leeway.

I really dont think they rank fighters, if they do they dont use them .

IMO they take the most exciting fighters and push them to the top over and over again. Once all the exciting fighters get their shots fighters like Okami and Fitch ,who actually deserve a shot ,get their shots when there's no one else left.

Well lets be honest if you arent going to have a ranking system and follow it why even have belts? You could just go back to the old days and create exciting fights every card with no champs .

I honeslty dont care because theres no money coming out of my pocket I just think they way they do it isnt fair to some fighters

I agree, but it's not anything that's going to change anytime soon. You need some flexibility regardless, due to the logistics of putting fights together. But the whole 'push the exciting guy and pretend he's good' I could do without as well.

To be fair, for the most part everyone who gets a title shot has been doing well. When Hardy got his shot at WW there weren't a lot of other worthy contenders. Kos and Fitch had both already lost to GSP, so it came down to Hardy and Swick. Hardy won and got his shot.
