Watched and rewatched Hendo-Fedor and there's nothing wrong with Fedor imo. He's not past his prime, he's lazy .....Fedor is very sloppy anymore, you shouldnt be GnPing a fighter and next thing you know you're taking an uppercut with your back turned.

Just my opinion but I think Fedor gave up on training along time ago, much like Tyson did in his prime, and he has just went in to fights trying to blast people out for the past 5 years . Once his "gameplan" stopped working and other fighters didnt drop in the first two minutes he was bascially screwed because he hadnt been training anything else.

I still think Fedor could be a top 3 HW or 205 class fighter if he trained hard but its kind of like saying "if BJ Penn is motivated" . If I was Fedor I'd go crush some cans, fight and beat Reem , then call it a career.

spot on. All he needed was a whizzer and he probably wins the first round.

They were saying Fedor looked to be in the best shape they have ever seen him in. Total BS. He has less muscle than he used to. I am pretty sure about that. He was 224 with some flab. I can't say he is fighting worse though. Maybe he is, but I can't tell. I think he is just fighting better guys/bigger guys. He could have been a little more controlled in the Hendo fight though, I gotcha on that one. Frankly, I'd like to see Fedor joing Greg JAcksons camp and starting taking steroids. That would be cool IMO.

The gay thing is that that's twice now in the past 3 fights where he was rushing in and then quickly got reversed and finished.

I agree, he is sloppy. But I have always said Fedor was sloppy. He has never been that great technically, he just gets it done. Even in the old days, Fedor would get suplexed on his head, but keep fighting and find a way to get it done. But these days, he just brawls and looks for the knockout shot. At least back then, there was some semblence of a gameplan.

A gameplan was the one thing missing saturday night. I've never seen Fedor come out like he did against Henderson except for maybe against Sylvia. He literally walked out and just went wild everywhere. He never even tried to reverse position when Hendo pushed him against the fence or go for a trip of some kind. I wouldn't say Fedor is past his prime, but I would agree with Luke that he just doesn't seem to give a shit anymore. It's like he doesn't know what else to do with his life but doesn't know anything else. Normally he has some head movement and any movement really, but saturday he had one direction and that was forward. It caused him to get cracked with that huge left hook in the beginning of the fight before they clinched and it led to him getting reversed and ultimately punched out.

On Fedor's grappling, this dude on the UG has been criticizing specifics about his grappling since before the Werdum fight and has pretty much been spot on. This particular thread is from before the Silva fight. Anyway, I thought it was an interesting read.
