Sportsbook just opened Curran/Mann at -115/-115.

Interesting. Had to go ahead and take Curran at those odds.

I didn't realize Mann was so good on the ground. He has a bunch of wins by submission. Curran has the TD edge, but Mann has god T3D and I think has the standup edge. I guess I am going to stay away from that fight.

I still can't decide on mini Maia versus Sandro either. I was originally thinking Sandro was good enough on the ground, and much better everywhere else, but I am second guessing it now. If Malagarie comes in just committed to grappling, he might be able to take him down over and over and win a decision.

Grove is a lock though, so maybe Grove/Sandro or Grove/Curran

Omigawa could not take Sandro down. Also, that fight was a robbery... Sandro won every round CLEARLY. It was 30-27 Sandro and that is how it was scored by SD as well.

          See it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9QZGKQYoKE

But Malagarie is good, I am still thinking about it. Someone give me some thoughts...

I agree with you about the Curran/Mann fight. I think it's too close to call. I originally thought Curran would out grapple Mann but after watching some more video on Mann I think that both guys are very similar in skill level. I am not sure if Mann would be able to get Curran down though, Eddie Alvarez had trouble taking Curran down. I think Curran even took Alvarez down briefly in round 5.

Malegarie has a good chance at winning a decision imo. If he can't take Sandro down, he will at least have the cage to push Sandro up against and work for TDs which we all know judges seem to favor. But I could also see Malegarie go and give up position for submission and end up on bottom with Sandro spending lots of time on top. Sandro should win in the striking, but Malegarie will probably continue to come forward and try to bring it to the mat.

I bet Curran at -115, mostly because I think size will play a roll. Mann is really good everywhere--probably even better than Curran in some technical aspects--but he's a little small and Curran's a fairly big FW. I lean Curran only because I think he might be able to muscle Mann around, but I would not at all be surprised to see Mann win.

two no bets for me. Sandro's wild striking and mediocre wrestling should spell doom for him in this fight. He overcommits to his strikes and always looks for the one shot ko. He may knock malegrie out early, but i think malegrie will press for takedowns and us guillotines and kneebars to sweep. Sandro's bjj looked bad in the haoki fight.

Havent looked at the mann/curran fight at all

So why aren't you guys betting on Malagarie?

cause I think he can get knocked out, i might end up putting a bet down on him. Depends on where the line ends up at. plus 200 is probably where i bet it. I don't think he will actually win, just that he has a good shot

                            Any other thoughts on Sandro/Melagarie?

I've been watching some vids and I think this is a hard one to call. Sandro seems to have very good T3D and should clearly be better than Melegarie on the feet, but I really don't know if he's ever faced a grappler that is as skilled and relentless as Melagarie. Malegarie's fight with Daniel Straus was REALLY close and Straus is a good wrestler.
