I actually would not be surprised to see Brilz win that one.

Lawlor owned simpson in the first rd and gassed out which he has a habit of doing. Weidman has poor standup and with above average takedowns. Plus he is injury prone.

Lawlor looked a lot better cardio-wise when he fought Cote.

Well, I guess we just disagree. I think Weidman has plenty of juice to get Lawlor down. He got stuffed once or twice against Sakara, but he took that fight on like 3 weeks notice and he still dominated. Lawlor doesn't have drop dead power, which is what he will need to win this fight IMO.

Weidman struggled to take sakara down in that first round. Eventually he just kept grinding away and wore sakara out, but lawlor should be well prepared to defend the constant takedowns. -400 is ridiculous and I think lawlor is a tough test for anyone, let alone a guy with this little experience. I did like how weidman walked through the headkick from his last opponent. plus he finished the fight with a torn up knee.

Yeah, but Sakara was desperate to stand, and he had the power to make a guy respect him instead of just wading in. Weidman is green, that is true. But I just don't think Lawlor is the kind of fighter that poses problems for Weidman. Lawlor is a tough grappler with medium to poor hands. Weidman is better wrestler and better grappler, with also medium to poor hands. But Weidman could also just come out like Maia and all of the sudden be able to strike, because he is a top tier athlete. Lawlor is just not as good IMO and has only one very limited path to victory (stuff almost every takedown and out box him). But his hands just aren't good enough IMO.

You think he would out wrestle Bader or out strike him?
