Exactly. Either Brock is going to be able to get him down right away or he isn't. I will say that Overeem is more equipped to handle Brock's game than Brock is to handle Overeem's game. If they stand up, Brock is dead. If they go down, Overeem might be able to survive for a while or even pull off a submission (I don't think so personally though). I think if Brock can get him down and keep him there, he will hamburger his face pretty good. I also expect Overeem to tire before Brock. I don't like Brock at all, but I can admit that he has shown pretty impressive cardio and heart. And I honestly think he could probably be ADCC champ if he would focus on submission defense for a while.

I don't see why not. Mark Kerr did it. The HWs are different. I think Werdum may be able to catch him from his back... but there really are not a lot of good HWs. Vinny won ADCC HW this year, and he is really a 98kg guy that went up to fight in an easier division. Alot of the HWs rely on getting on top, it is more like wrestling than at the lower weights. It is obvious that his "MMA training" has mostly been adding submissions and guard passing to his wrestling. He looked pretty damn good on top of Mir and that was a couple years back. Once he got on top of Carwin, it only took him a couple seconds to sink the submission. He's pretty good on the ground I think.Last edited by MMA_scientist; 12-02-2011, 02:56 PM.2012: +19.33

There's really no reason that can't happen to be honest. Overeem is a cocky guy and he probably doesn't respect Brock's striking at all. As hard as Lesnar can throw punches and with Reem's sub-par striking defense when he doesn't have 16oz gloves on could be a disaster waiting to happen for him. Brock might just come out looking to go crazy like he did with Cain trying to hurt him early and drain some of that stamina. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see anything happen in this fight aside from Brock pulling a non choke submission and Reem caving in Brocks skull.2013: +8.24u(increased unit size on 5/19)

“Usually I’m not gonna train with Brock, there’s no reason, he’s too big for me, but I did roll with him one time, and number one, it was really gross because the dude sweats like a ridiculous amount, so I was just covered in Brock Lesnar sweat, like just dripping in his sweat. But then he was kinda messing around and I jumped on a guillotine, and I wound up actually tapping him out, and then he actually got kinda angry, and the next time that we started, he just picked me up above his head WWE style, and like threw me across the room, so that was the end of my training with Brock. So yeah, I got him one time. I jumped on a guillotine, because he wasn’t ready for it, and I choked him out, and then after that I got thrown across the room.”
