Bingo. I'm not saying Rampage doesn't still have the ability to knock anyone out, but it's been about three years since he's knocked anyone out, and he just seems like he's content to live off the past accolades without taking training seriously.

It is Japan though, Rampage might revert to old habits. I think there is a good chance Rampage gets a stoppage, but it is + odds... so you really can't go too wrong.

If a shot at the belt didn't get him back into the old mindset and habits then japan isn't going to either. Rampage is happy to be top 6 in the world without having to train very hard. I think the only thing that would ever bring out the "old" Rampage again is a rematch with Shogun, and maybe not even then.

I might be wrong but Hamill, Jardine, and Forrest are all outside/long range with their striking and have decent lateral movement. Bader's striking, imo, is horrible and so is his gas tank. He likes to plod forward and land his right hand. that's the wrong kind of fight against Rampage. I just see a favorable fight, stylistic wise, for Rampage. I think the UFC wants a Rampage KO in Japan.. fans love him there.

I wouldn't call Hammill a good lateral movement striker. His striking was pretty awful all around. I just don't think Bader is going to go in and look to trade with Rampage. Thats part of why Rampage hasn't knocked anyone out in so long, nobody is making that mistake anymore.

he wont want to trade with Rampage but he has few options besides his wrestling and that probably will do him no good either.
