I didn't make up the striking rule. I posted it right off the UFC's website. A place I "figured" would have a legit copy of the rules........my bad. I'm not just pullling shit out of my ass like you guys are.

As for just making shit up, like I said, the rules are subject to interpretation. We all know this.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Bendo was the superior grappler in that fight, but c'mon, those takedowns weren't shit and they don't make up for Edgar getting bullied most of the fight.

Well I assume we'd at least agree that a takedown where you are off your feet for literally 3 seconds should not be scored the same as a takedown where you are taken down and mounted. And if that's the case, then how little in the way of points should a takedown from column A earn you?

I said, in my opinion, about as much as a light jab. Your opinion is apparently different. But the fact of the matter is that nowhere does it say officially what the answer is.

You think taking a guy down,for any amount of time, is just as easy as landing a jab?

I'm just asking because I'm pretty sure I could land a jab on just about any UFC fighter but doubt I could take a single fighter down.

Maybe not as easy, but I think the important think to look at is what the result was. I mean, what did the technique do for the fighter? How did it help get him closer to the end goal, which is to win the fight?

The fight was very close. So close it is almost hard to score. On thing is for sure, in the rematch the I will be betting whoever gets +3.5 points at good odds.

If bendo rematchs Pettis and kicks his ass he could open as a sig fav over Frankie. At that point Frankie plus 3.5 could be at plus odds. (without that second round upkick Bendo might have lost)
