When I had the same problem with my kids I found only one solution . I used this call tracker https://www.hoverwatch.com/call-gps-sms-tracker to check their location every time when they went for a walk just for me to know where I can find them if they wouldn’t come home without telling to us. It helped me a lot, so now you can use that.
