    #2
    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

Presque Isle Downs - Race #3
#1 Maximum Faith Not mad about the debut effort here last fall, and he'll return fresh for this second career start. Could see him tucking into a great spot behind a couple quicker players drawn outside.
#7 Ky Thirty One Pace stretches out while going third off the very lengthy layoff, but I'm concerned about the way he has given away ground in those recent runs. Some appeal if he comes near the November 2023 run.
#6 The Fed's Plot He's a threat here based on company lines so far, but he hasn't really shown a whole lot in those better spots, and I wouldn't be too enthused about landing here at any kind of modest number.
Race Summary Maximum Faith could get a perfect run of things from the fence here, and the barn does pretty good work in these kinds of local spots.
Presque Isle Downs - Race #6
#7 Promaja She may be an OK fit here while trying the local footing for the first time, and something like the two-back run might play well against this crew. In the mix.
#8 Wherever We Are She doubles the price for this second start back and has some room to come forward off that run. Enough to like here at what should be a bit better price than last time around.
#9 Mrs. Manicotti She's not all that reliable late, but she has some speed to use from this high draw, and that may let her force the issue the whole way. I'm not that excited, but I wouldn't argue that hard with you if you land here.
Race Summary Promaja has some midrange price appeal while looking to bounce back off a flat run, and she might find an OK spying that in her local debut.
Presque Isle Downs - Race #8
#9 Valiant Exchange Looked like he might be OK in the career debut, but he failed to back it up in a pair of starts with winners. He's way down in class today for the first start of the year, and I'm hoping he's got something at least a bit better to show here.
#1 We Called Sol Tactical type had been in good form before graduating and punched home nicely last time out, and he might work out a nice trip from the fence in a race with a couple committed forward players.
#12 Brennan's War His form isn't flashy, but he has been fairly reliable here and ran a good one with similar last time out. Midrange price chance for a piece.
Race Summary Valiant Exchange was in with better in a couple dull starts, but he's in a cheap spot for the comeback run and may have enough in the tank to handle these.

      #3
      Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

      Horseshoe Indianapolis - Race #1
#8 SAKRA’S QUEST (9-5) Duel with fave took its toll, shortens up and looms the target on class drop.
#3 LOTTA LATTE (15-1) Awakened with second-time Lasix in November, barn 2-10 with layoff types.
#5 PETER’S DREAM (5-2) Overcame troubled starts to finish 1-2 at this level.
Race Summary SAKRA’S QUEST dueled with the favorite until the stretch in a 6F allowance before the closers passed by, including 8-to-5 second choice When’s Forever (16/4-5-3, $120k). She should be in control throughout from the outside post at 5-1/2F today. Bet to win and place and play 8-3 and 8-5 exactas.
      Horseshoe Indianapolis - Race #2
#1 PAIGE PERFECT (2-1) Perfect fit in woeful field, now or never off useful comeback sprints.
#2 CHANEKE (9-2) Up-close ability and class drop translates well, awkward start on turf last out.
#5 GIMMEL (3-1) Earned his top speed figure in MSW seasonal debut with first-time Lasix.
Race Summary In a field of unproven routers, PAIGE PERFECT simply will have no excuse to not break through with a win. He has a runner-up finish for $15,000 to summon, exited a couple key races along the way and showed late foot in a pair of recent sprints. His opponents are a combined 0-for-11 at one mile and beyond and got beat by – get this – a combined 220 lengths. Bet to win and place and play 1-2 and 1-5 exactas.
      Horseshoe Indianapolis - Race #5
#2 NIGHT CRY (20-1) Longshot stab kept good company, appeared to need latest, tries the turf.
#10 MISCHIEF LILY (2-1) Made first run at loose leader, appeared home free at 2-to-5, wilted near wire.
#1 MORGAN’S BLUFF (5-2) Left too much work to do in comeback sprint, runs for cheapest tag yet.
Race Summary NIGHT CRY was unhurried while saving ground to the far turn, made some progress but finished evenly in a turf-to-dirt route here. She met the likes of recent allowance winner So Far So Good, favored Readytoriskitall and next-out winners Judy’s Flyer and Perfect Manhattan this year. She gets in light-weighted and is worth a win and place bet at 20-1 on the morning line.

            Race 7 - Claiming - 6.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $34000 Class Rating: 79

FOR ACCREDITED OHIO FOALS THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON FOUR RACES OR WHICH HAVE NOT WON A RACE IN 2025. THREE YEAR OLDS, 119 LBS.; OLDER, 123 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE AT A MILE OR OVER SINCE MAY 10 ALLOWED 2 LBS. SUCH A RACE SINCE APRIL 10 ALLOWED 4 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $50,000.
            RECOMMENDED CHOICES
            # 5 RUN RED RUN 5/2
            # 6 OKLAHOMA JOE 3/1
            # 3 MOMMA K'S BOY 6/1
I think RUN RED RUN is a respectable choice. With a strong jockey who has won at a very strong 18 percent clip over the last month. This has to be one of the top selections. Fernandez's ROI over the last 30 days automatically makes this animal a solid contender. Will probably come out sharp - I have liked the way this gelding has moved speedily to the lead recently. OKLAHOMA JOE - This gelding with Diaz in the irons makes him a contender. With a solid 72 speed figure last time out, will clearly be a factor in this competition. MOMMA K'S BOY - Can't overlook the connections here, a 26 winning percentage, one of the best at getting into the winner's circle. Has run soundly when running a dirt sprint race.

              Parx Racing - Race #1 - Post: 12:40pm - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $23,000 Class Rating: 77

              Rating:

              #5 MUNYHUNGRY (ML=3/1)
              #1 PLANET (ML=5/1)
              #3 MALIBLUE (ML=9/2)

MUNYHUNGRY - Taking a trip to a lower class rank; has the ability to make his presence felt. PLANET - According to well-known handicapping professionals, the stalking-type of fine animal is one of the most dependable bets in racing. Solis brings this gelding back into a race rather than a workout. He knows his gelding is on top of his game. Jockey jumped on this gelding's back for the first time on June 1st. Should be acquainted with the equine even better in today's race. This gelding has higher odds on the morning line than the other entrant from the stable of Solis. Better be wary of this angle. This horse ran out of the money at Monmouth Park last time out on the soft turf. He should improve in this race under normal track conditions. MALIBLUE - Ran last time around the track against a higher rated class of horses at Parx Racing. The move to a lower class level should suit him well. Trainer, Penaloza, has been deliberate with this gelding off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 EL MEDIANOCHE (ML=2/1), #2 ONE LAST KISS (ML=5/1),

EL MEDIANOCHE - The chalk horse is shaky here with the lack of workouts. Doesn't seem inspiring to me after the lack of any sort of closing ability on May 11th. ONE LAST KISS - Only defeated maiden claimers last out. It's going to be very tough for this racer to repeat versus winners.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: #5 MUNYHUNGRY is going to be the play if we are getting 3/1 or better

Race 3 - Maiden Special Weight - 8.3f on the Dirt. Purse: $30000 Class Rating: 79

                RECOMMENDED CHOICES

                # 1 MAXIMUM FAITH 6/1
                # 7 KY THIRTY WON 9/2
I've got to go with MR. COLOSSAL. He has been travelling admirably as of late while recording strong speed figures. Has to be given consideration - I like the figs from the last race. Have to consider solely on class, with some of the most respectable class numbers of this group. MAXIMUM FAITH - Has performed soundly as of late in route races, posting a nifty 65 avg speed rating. KY THIRTY WON - Blinkers on could be the difference here. Simms has him trained admirably to break speedily out of the gate.

                  Louisiana Downs - Race #7 - Post: 6:53pm - Claiming - 7.5 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $11,000 Class Rating: 77

                  Rating:

                  #4 IN YOUR LIFE (ML=3/1)
                  #1 PARISIAN LIGHT (ML=5/2)

IN YOUR LIFE - I usually like playing sprinters who are 3-4 races into a come back. PARISIAN LIGHT - Ranked number one in earnings per start. Another confirmation that this horse has class. Was in a $20,000 Claiming race at Evangeline Downs in the last race. That race had a class rating of 84 and she is moving down in this event. A certain strong challenger. PP lines show this thoroughbred with 3 improving speed ratings. Dominguez should be on a horse ready to go in today's race.

                  Vulnerable Contenders: #8 CLAIRE JUNE (ML=9/2), #6 CAPELLA RED (ML=5/1), #7 CLEARLY CREEPS (ML=8/1),

CLAIRE JUNE - Didn't end up on the board on March 15th at Sam Houston. Followed it up with another less than stellar effort. CAPELLA RED - Didn't do much last time. Probably won't do much running in today's race. No favorable outcomes for this less than sharp equine in a sprint contest over the last two months tells me that this mare is in a formidable circumstance CLEARLY CREEPS - This horse hasn't shown too much in the last two affairs.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: Play #4 IN YOUR LIFE to win if you can get odds of 7/5 or more
