Analysis:
The Yankees clearly need a stopper caliber performance from their ace Carlos Rodin. Obviously there are no sure things but it's my prediction he steps up and provides it for them. The Yankees are mired in a scru~m with the Jays and have been more bad than good of late. But Frankie Montas could be precisely what the doctor ordered. Stubborn fact is that as good as Rodon has been this season he's been even sharper dealing on the road. Well technically of course this is a road game for the Yankees. The Mets don't hit particularly well against lefties and frankly this game screams Yankees to me. I'm choosing to step up here for the overdue Yanks to get up off the mat.

TORONTO BLUE JAYS (-165)
A little bit of heavy juice for us to lay here, but we have been pretty spot on with the Angels lately and with Scherzer on the mound and the Jays coming into this one off a walk-off yesterday against LA, we'll pay the odds for a potential casher in this one. Scherzer does come into today with a 4.85 ERA as he shakes off the rust, but love to put our money on him whenever we can get a chance. For the Angels, Kochanowicz has struggled this season with a 5.44 ERA and a 3-8 record. He has allowed an average of over a run per inning and has not been effective in limiting opposing offenses. Facing a powerful and red-hot Blue Jays lineup (see below), Kochanowicz is in a precarious position. The Blue Jays hitters will likely be able to get to him early and build a significant lead. The Toronto Blue Jays offense is currently on fire. They are coming off a sweep of the New York Yankees, where they scored 12 runs, 11 runs, and 8 runs in consecutive games. They have posted 6 straight wins prior to today and are on a massive 8-1 ML run over their L9 overall. Overall, the Blue Jays rank 4th in MLB with a .257 team batting average and are 11th in runs per game (4.66). Not to mention, the Angels' bullpen has been a major weakness this season. They have a combined ERA near 7.00, ranking as one of the worst in MLB, and have surrendered a league-high in home runs. Roll with the TORONTO BLUE JAYS....


SAN DIEGO PADRES (-140)
Haven't had a chance to make a play on the Padres lately - nor have they given us a real reason to - but Saturday seems like a legit spot to lay this wager with confidence. Kolek has been a solid performer for the Padres with a 3.73 ERA and a 3-3 record. As a right-hander, he offers a good matchup against a Rangers lineup that has shown inconsistencies. The Texas Rangers' offense has been consistently inconsistent this season, particularly on the road. They have posted a dismal 17-26 ML record when away from home this season and are averaging a measly 3.8 runs per outing (25th in MLB) and have a team batting average of just .229 (28th in MLB). They have been shutout nearly a dozen times already this season and have managed to put a meager 4 runs of less on the board in around 70% of their games this season. San Diego boasts one of the best bullpens in Major League Baseball, with a collective ERA of 3.34 (3rd). If Kolek can navigate 5-6 innings, the Padres have an elite bullpen that can shut down the Rangers for the remainder of the game, protecting any lead they build. This has helped the Padres absolutely dominate when playing in San Diego as they are now 26-14 ML at Petco Park and have gone 33-14 ML in their L47 games played there against a RHP. They are also 17-10 ML when the odds are listed with them as the favorite from -110 to -150. Go with the PADRES in San Diego....


UNDER 9 DET TIGERS @ CLE GUARDIANS (-115)
This should be another pitcher's duel here again today as both of these offenses are slated to slump based on our projections for today. Mize has been outstanding this season, boasting an impressive 2.86 ERA and an 8-2 record. He is a ground ball pitcher with excellent command who has consistently limited runs. When Mize is on the mound, runs are typically at a premium for the opposing team.The Guardians' offense struggles against right-handed pitching, with a team batting average of .228 and a low .300 OBP against righties. Mize's effectiveness, particularly against a struggling offense, is the primary driver for the Under. The Cleveland Guardians' offense has been one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league. They rank 27th in MLB with just 3.6 runs per game and have a dismal .225 team batting average (29th in MLB). Also, The Tigers' bullpen has been one of the best in the league, with a team ERA around 3.49 (3rd in MLB). Take the UNDER in today's AL Central showdown....


MINNESOTA TWINS (+105)
The Twins have cooled off considerably since they went on their monster run earlier this season, but today seems like a good chance to jump on the home team in Minneapolis. However, this Minnesota offense has been showing signs of life again and has been particularly potent at Target Field. The Twins bullpen has been a strength this season, holding a collective ERA around 3.14 over their last 10 games. The Twins do have a 23-17 record at home and despite the Rays being a strong road team, we like the Twins a little more here at Target Field. While the Rays are generally a strong team, they have shown recent offensive inconsistency. Tampa is in a bit of a funk lately, dropping 4-of-their-L5 overall coming into today. Go with the MINNESOTA TWINS....


COLORADO ROCKIES (-115)
Another team we rarely get a chance to make a play on in Colorado, but for the worst team in the MLB, we like the low odds offered us here at home against the 2nd worst team in the MLB. The Chicago White Sox offense is one of the worst in MLB. They rank 29th in runs per game (3.4), 28th in batting average (.221), and 29th in slugging percentage (.343). They have a collective OPS of .622 against right-handed pitching this season. While both the White Sox and Rockies are among the weakest teams in MLB, the unique dynamics of Coors Field provide the Colorado Rockies with a decisive edge. Their familiarity with the challenging pitching environment and the White Sox's anemic offense, especially against a pitcher like Germ
