Mets starter Nolan McLean is a hard-throwing young pitcher, but he can be wild, allowing many walks, which is never good at this level of baseball. Joey Wentz hasn’t pitched much this season for the Braves, but he has been effective in his last few starts. The Mets’ slugging percentage goes way down when facing left-handed pitching. It’s doubtful the Braves make a push to grab the last wildcard spot, but they have been as hot as anyone this month and would love to take teams down on vacation with them, especially a division rival like the Mets.
