FROSTEDBIRD is my choice. Is hard not to examine based on speed figures which have been solid - 74 avg - of late. Should go to the front end and might never look back. The average class rating alone makes this one a key contender. MAYBE SOMETIME - The winning percentage shown by horses entered by Robson running at this distance are the strongest in this field. Has been racing soundly and has among the most favorable speed in the race for today's distance. GOLD SPECIAL - Has been moving soundly in races of this distance, going 6 out of 35 under similar conditions. This gelding is a solid contender based on his earnings per start in dirt sprint races.

LEUCADIA - Faced tougher in the last race at Prairie Meadows. Based on class figures, this is a weaker bunch, so I will put this horse on my list of choice plays. Popular handicapping angle - 3rd or 4th start after a vacation generally leads to a big effort. Today could be the day. MILLIGANMIKEANDME - I think that a sprinter coming off a layoff will usually run her best in the 3rd or 4th start back. POUNDS IN TOWN - Taking a drop in class rating points from her July 3rd race at Horseshoe Indianapolis. Based on that element, I will give this horse the advantage. SHANIAH - This jockey/trainer duo has been producing a very positive ROI, right at +30. Have to like the way Hornsby has raced this mare back into shape off the layoff. Animal is well spotted in this sprint and I think she'll run well today. This horse brings in a lot of cash per race. I believe she can augment the lifetime bankroll right here in this race. DIAMOND OF EKATI - Mare had the second fastest workout of the day prepping for this. I like to bet on this handicapping theory, a campaigner coming back off a good race within the last month or so.

HIGHWOOD - The Brain tells me to keep my distance from horses in sprint affairs that haven't finished in the money in short distance races recently. JOYFUL JOSEPHINE - Doesn't appear to be worth 6/1 in today's event. Pass on her this time.
