My Analysis


A lot of similarities between this pick today and Virginia.

Florida State was undefeated, playing on the road for the 1st time, with one huge win over Alabama, garnering them the

"public" respect to lay more than a TD.

Playing an undefeated team, who can score and they were

"exposed."

Here comes the Ohio State Buckeyes, playing on the road for the first time, with one huge win over Texas, garnering them the

"public" respect, playing more than a TD.

Playing an undefeated team, who can score and their defense will get exposed.

It's easy to say the Buckeyes defense is "great" based on who they have played but let's be clear: Washington isn't Grambling or Ohio.

And furthermore, in beating Texas 14-7 in game one, the Longhorns won the stats big time and the only reason they lost, was Arch Manning wasn't good enough.

The Longhorns put up over 300 yards total offense to just 203 for Ohio State.

Which brings us to this Huskies offense.

Granted, they haven't played anyone of the caliber as Ohio State but scoring 38, 70 and on the road against your instate rival 59, tells me they have PLAYERS.

Washington is going to have success against this Buckeyes defense. They have only committed 1 turnover this season so far.

If the Buckeyes are going to cover, their young QB Julian Sayin, making his first road start, will have to be better than good.

And he might be, but I don't think he is more than a touchdown good.

With Ohio State 1-4 ATS last 5 conference road games laying 14 or less and the Huskies 5-1 ATS as a home dog versus an undefeated opponent.

And my home dog today has won 22 straight home games.

That is enough for me to grab more than a TD and call for this one to go down to the wire.
