        # 1 AMBERGLEN (IRE) 8/1
        # 10 SPECIAL WOOD (FR) 20/1
        # 4 SLIPPERS 9/2
AMBERGLEN (IRE) looks very good to best this group and is a quite good value bet given the line at 8/1. Overall the Equibase Speed Figures of this racer look formidable in this contest. Has to be given a shot - I like the figures from the last race. SPECIAL WOOD (FR) - She has been running well and the Equibase Speed Figures are among the top in this group of horses. Has been racing in the most competitive company of the group lately. SLIPPERS - Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Casse have shown solid results lately.

          PURCHASE

          Churchill Downs - Race #5 - Post: 1:22pm - Claiming - 7.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $62,000 Class Rating: 84

          Rating:

          #5 TOASTED ROLL (ML=4/1)
          #4 GIVE HER ANOTHER (ML=3/1)
          #3 MISTY MUPPET (ML=12/1)
          #9 TEMPERS FLY (ML=7/2)

TOASTED ROLL - No need to look any further. This pony has my money. Way too much speed. Filly has shown some early speed. This shorter trip should be better for her. Taking a big drop in class rating points from her Nov 2nd race at Belmont at the Big A. Based on that knowledge, I will give this animal the edge. GIVE HER ANOTHER - Was in a Starter Allowance race at Churchill Downs last out. That race had a class figure of 92 and she is moving down in today's race. A certain contender. I think this filly is ready to run a good one. She's had enough races since the vacation and should be fit. The addition of blinkers should keep her mind on business today. MISTY MUPPET - Trainer, Sweezey, has been deliberate with this filly off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. You always have to be on the lookout for revenue generating rider/trainer tandems; we have an instance right here. Last ran at Churchill Downs and finished sixth. Reviewing her Past Performances, I see she was close at the finish line, within 5 of the winner. TEMPERS FLY - I like this horse. Should be familiar with this class level since she ran against the same type in the last race at Keeneland.

          Vulnerable Contenders: #7 BAMTWENTYKLATER (ML=5/1), #6 SAINT NANCY S (ML=8/1), #2 CHANDON (ML=8/1),

BAMTWENTYKLATER - Last performed on November 12th at Churchill Downs, finishing seventh. Unlikely to get better off of that effort today. Finished seventh in her most recent effort with a mediocre speed figure. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this bunch. SAINT NANCY S - Tough to wager on any racer to turn things around if there is no wager value to taking the risk. Hasn't finished in the money in any short distance races lately. Doubtful to see her doing it this time either. CHANDON - Nice race on Nov 6th at Churchill Downs, but the fact that there are no workouts since has to make one a little worried. This pony ran a somewhat easily forgotten speed rating last time out. She shouldn't show signs of improvement and will probably get beat today running that rating.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: Putting our cash on #5 TOASTED ROLL to win. Have to have odds of at least 4/1 or better though
          EXACTA WAGERS: Box [3,5]
          TRIFECTA WAGERS: None
          SUPERFECTA WAGERS: None

            Laurel - Race #1 - Post: 11:25am - Maiden Claiming - 8.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $22,000 Class Rating: 75

            Rating:

            #1 TELL 'EM I'M COMIN (ML=2/1)
            #2 EDELWEISS (ML=5/1)

TELL 'EM I'M COMIN - Getting a weight break of 5 lbs from last race at Laurel on Nov 16th. Could make the difference right here. EDELWEISS - Rounding his way back into form. Each of his finish positions is getting better in his recent starts. Have to give this gelding a good shot. Ran a sharp race last time out within the last month. Handicapping information show this pony with 3 improving speed figures. Torrealba should be on a horse ready to go right here in this race.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 CHRISTMAS SPIRIT (ML=5/2), #7 DATS MY PHARAOH (ML=5/1), #5 RAILROAD INN (ML=6/1),

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT - When examining today's class figure, he will have to earn a better rating than in the last race to compete in this dirt route. DATS MY PHARAOH - This gelding is always close, but just doesn't win. Tough to wager on him on the top end. This runner ran a common speed figure last race out. He shouldn't improve and will likely get beat in today's race running that fig. RAILROAD INN - Doubtful that the speed figure he earned on Nov 9th will be good enough in this clash.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: #1 TELL 'EM I'M COMIN is the play if we get odds of 7/5 or better
            EXACTA WAGERS: Box [1,2]

              Race 8 - Claiming - 7.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $6500 Class Rating: 55

FOR NATIVE THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. THREE YEAR OLDS, 116 LBS.; OLDER, 120 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE SINCE OCTOBER 27 ALLOWED 2 LBS. A RACE SINCE SEPTEMBER 27 ALLOWED 3 LBS. 4# A INFERIORES Y DEBTS ALLOWED 4 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $8,000.
              RECOMMENDED CHOICES
              # 2 YAHIR 7/2
              # 1 SONAJERO 2/1
              # 5 DON LARA 10/1
YAHIR is the strongest wager in this race. With Velez uptop him, this colt will probably be able to break out sharply for this race. Has a sharp shot in this race if you like back class. With better than average trips to the winner's circle, Velez will most likely have this colt in excellent position to win the affair. SONAJERO - Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Diaz have shown strong results lately. Has been running soundly and has among the best speed in the race for today's distance. DON LARA - With a decent 58 Equibase Speed Fig last time out, will unquestionably be a factor in this contest. This horse has some longshot angles I like to wager on.

Jeremy Plonk: Bet $100, Get $10 Churchill Thursday Picks

                November 26, 2025 | By Jeremy Plonk

A blessed Thanksgiving to all as we tackle not only a feast, but one of racing’s great traditions at Churchill Downs this Thursday. A dozen-race card gets underway at an early 11:30 am first post and co-features the Falls City Stakes and the Cardinal Stakes in Races 10 and 11, respectively.

Both stakes races are part of our Turkey Bowl holiday week bonanza. Customers who hit win bets ($10 base minimum or higher) on a minimum of 10 different selected stakes races between Thursday and Sunday will earn an equal split of $10,000 in bonus cash. Also note Thursday’s Churchill card is our final in the month-long Cornucopia of Cash promotion. Bet $100, Get $10 when you play with 1/ST BET and Xpressbet.

Churchill Downs: Race 10 (3:45 pm ET) | $400,000 Falls City Stakes
Morning line favorite #10 Regaled comes off back-to-back career-best efforts and the Breeders’ Cup Distaff third-place finisher returns to Churchill Downs less than half the price she was when third in the Locust Grove. She’s pace dependent and lacks value, as does fellow closer #2 Raging Sea. The more tactical approach of #4 Alpine Princess and #7 Royal Spa should be appreciated, along with the improving #8 Standoutsensation. Hard to argue with 4 wins and a second in her last 5 starts, making #8 Standoutsensation the value play for me at 8-1 morning line. I love how she got right back on the workout tab 2 weeks after her Aqueduct road victory even despite travel.Win bet #8. Exacta key-box 8 with 4,7.

Churchill Downs: Race 11 (4:14 pm ET) | $300,000 Cardinal Stakes
#11 Proctor Street always has looked like a graded-stakes sort and will get that chance off a Keeneland allowance win without any pace help. In fact, she’s had little to work with from off the pace throughout her career in terms of fast set-ups. The presence of fleet #5 Stylish Sue might help set the table for once. Regally bred #10 Fleetingly is another who could be set to deliver on her promise if she finally gets something to run at in terms of pace. Win #11. Exacta 11-10. Trifecta 11-all-10.

                  Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

                  Fair Grounds - Race #5
#3 Bright Note Firster goes for a capable team, so get a look at her on the track and tote ahead of this. Hoping the Asmussen outside will keep the price playable.
#8 Braken Poppa She's working toward this like she's going to run a good one out of the box, and I like the outside draw for what feels likely to be a forward trip.
#2 Miss Super Mo She ran well with that open group at Keeneland last time out, and she holds an experience edge on both of the top two. Wouldn't be a shock with solid established form.
Race Summary Bright Note and Braken Poppa look capable on paper for teams that excel with these kinds, but I'm hoping the former offers just a touch better price.
                  Fair Grounds - Race #7
#8 Baby Vino Get a look at him in the paddock, but I wonder if he'll be live enough to make some noise here. Regular worktab feels honest enough.
#5 Ackley He's bred to be a fun sprinter, and I'm looking forward to seeing him on the turf some day. That said, I think he's probably up for this trip and has turned in a couple of pretty flashy drills along the way.
#4 Walkers Creek Likely that he'll find one or two of the fresh faces a bit too tough, but the debut run was decent enough to wonder if he can snag a share underneath with some small step forward.
Race Summary #3 Picked goes first out for Asmussen in another fun race, but Baby Vino might get the run of the race if he's ready to roll.
                  Fair Grounds - Race #9
#8 Mondogetsbuckets Think his form is sharp enough to play with this crew, and he should get an OK spying run from out here. Might be a midrange price.
#4 Bear River Breeders' Cup dropper is at his best on the turf, but he's not too far off some of that form on the main track and has landed a couple local scores in the past.
#6 Baby Yoda Dropper has some unreliable form, but he has always had a high ceiling and could certainly land this by bringing his A-game. Tough call.
Race Summary Mondogetsbuckets has some class questions to answer compared to most of these, but I think he'll get the right trip from this spot, and for what it's worth -- mom absolutely loved it here.

                    Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

                    Laurel Park - Race #2
#1 KEEPING IT COUNTRY (5-2) Can keep it simple and beat this field with duplicate of latest.
#5 PUDGE BOY PALACE (3-1) Won going away in a nw-2 six-month condition in the Spring for $7,500.
#3 P. J.’S SONG (9-5) Best numbers, proven at this level, but sat golden trip off pace battle two back.
Race Summary KEEPING IT COUNTRY chased the 3-1 winner while 5-wide on the turn and finished second on a day when speed dominated at Penn National. He draws the rail and is today’s Best Bet in a field that is winless since the May 27 condition cutoff date and 5-for-80 this year. Bet to win and place and play 1-3 and 1-5 exactas.
                    Laurel Park - Race #3
#8 WAR HUMOR (3-1) Takes on elders, won last two starts in photo finishes at this distance.
#2 WIFFLEBALL (7-2) Son of Top-10 turf sire this year tries to carry over good main-track form.
#7 KING COVEE (9-5) Snapped out of ‘second’ gear with one-mile turf win, fave in last three starts.
Race Summary WAR HUMOR exited a ‘triple key’ race at this level, pressed the 5-2 pace-setter into defeat and held off the fast-closing favorite to repeat in allowance company. No reason to think the 2024 stakes winner won’t be in the winning mix again if he avoids a slow start that has plagued him. Bet to win and place and key #8 over 2, 4, 7 on a trifecta ticket.
                    Laurel Park - Race #4
#5 CENTSAMILLA (6-1) Ran to fast works in return, dug in on lead to finish second, steps up in class.
#1 RUN SWEETLY (12-1) Steadily improving despite slow-starting habit, use in gimmick wagers.
#7 DEVASTATING (9-5) Beat double-digit lengths in four dirt sprints, but just missed for $40k on turf.
Race Summary CENTSAMILLA broke out at the start and drifted out with the lead inside the sixteenth pole, settling for second best. She has to carry her speed farther but could do so in her second start after three months away. Bet to win and place and play a 1-5-7 exacta box.
