        Gulfstream Park - Race #2 - Post: 12:49pm - Maiden Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $29,000 Class Rating: 70

        Rating:

        #5 VELVET RAGE (ML=3/1)
        #3 BRING BAIL MONEY (ML=6/1)

VELVET RAGE - Zayas rode this entrant for the first time last time around the track and comes right back in today's race. I like that recent effort on Nov 1st at Gulfstream Park where she ended up second. BRING BAIL MONEY - Vasquez was aboard this filly last time out and was impressed enough to take the horse right back. Entered last at Gulfstream Park in a race with a class rating of 79. Dropping considerably in class figure today puts her in a solid position in this event.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 FROSTY BELLE (ML=5/1), #9 TULLY ROAD (ML=6/1),

FROSTY BELLE - Will be hard for this horse to beat this field off of that last speed rating. Improbable to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's class rating, so put her on the likely underpriced equines list. TULLY ROAD - This filly hasn't been showing me anything in the last couple of efforts.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - VELVET RAGE - Earnings per start is a sign of class. I often play horses like this one that are tops in the bunch in earnings per start.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Bet on #5 VELVET RAGE to win if we can get at least 7/5 odds
        EXACTA WAGERS: Box [3,5]
TRIFECTA WAGERS: 5 with 3 with [1,6,9] Total Cost: $3

Race 1 - Maiden Claiming - 8.5f on the Turf. Purse: $29000 Class Rating: 75

GP - R1 - FOR MAIDENS, FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD. THREE YEAR OLDS, 121 LBS.; OLDER, 124 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $17,500.
          RECOMMENDED CHOICES
          # 1 AMERICAN POPSTAR 2/1
          # 3 GIDDY UP BABY 10/1
          # 8 LILYS BACK 6/1
AMERICAN POPSTAR is the top bet in this race. The average Equibase class figure alone makes this entrant a definite contender. Is a sharp contender based on figures recorded lately under today's conditions. Hard to pass on this filly with Zayas in the saddle. GIDDY UP BABY - Will probably be one of the front-runners of the group going into the halfway point of the competition. Sound average Equibase speed figs in turf route races make this equine a definite contender. LILYS BACK - Have to play this filly with the strong earnings per start in turf route races.

            Race 2 - Claiming - 8.3f on the Dirt. Purse: $18000 Class Rating: 84

FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NOT WON A RACE SINCE MAY 28. THREE YEAR OLDS, 122 LBS.; OLDER, 125 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE AT ONE MILE OR OVER SINCE OCTOBER 28, ALLOWED 3 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $5,000
            RECOMMENDED CHOICES
            # 4 MARTY'S MAGIC 2/1
            # 5 MIDNIGHT AWARD 8/1
            # 3 ALLABOUTTHEMONEY 8/1
MARTY'S MAGIC looks to be the bet in here. With a quite good 64 speed rating last time out, will unquestionably be a factor in this contest. A solid 95 avg class figure may give this gelding a distinct class edge against this group of animals. Might best this group here, showing formidable figures of late. MIDNIGHT AWARD - Has competitive speed figures and has to be considered for a bet for this event. Very strong profits have been scored by investors using this jock and conditioner tandem recently. ALLABOUTTHEMONEY - Win percentage with this jock and handler combo - 28 percent - reliable. Vargas ought to be able to get this gelding to break out early for this event.

              Charles Town - Race #6 - Post: 9:32pm - Maiden Special - 4.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $30,600 Class Rating: 54

              Rating:

              #2 HEY NIGH TEEN (ML=5/1)
              #9 I'D RATHER NOT (ML=6/1)

HEY NIGH TEEN - This early speed horse could take the lead quickly. My guess is she'll take a shot at getting the early lead and taking it home. Faced tougher last race out at Charles Town. Based on Equibase class figures, this is a weaker field, so I will put this one on my list of strong contenders. Is ranked highest in earnings per race. A dominant try today can add to that total. I'D RATHER NOT - This pony coming off a sharp effort in the last month is a contender in my humble opinion. Recent speed figs show strong pattern of improvement.

              Vulnerable Contenders: #10 BELLE CAUSE (ML=9/5), #4 CHELSEA'S DREAM (ML=7/2),

BELLE CAUSE - Not the proper 'spot' in this event. CHELSEA'S DREAM - Granted the last race was strong, finishing second. The lack of any recent activity raises some concerns though.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: Putting our cash on #2 HEY NIGH TEEN to win. Have to have odds of at least 8/5 or better though
              EXACTA WAGERS: Box [2,9]
TRIFECTA WAGERS: 2 with 9 with [1,3,4] Total Cost: $3

                # 3 DRAGON MEDICINE 4/1
The consensus in this race is that SEASIDE STAR is the one to beat. Enters this contest with nice TrackMaster class stats in relationship to the group - could be worth a shot. The brain trust noted a very promising race out of this standardbred last time. Hoping for a duplicate of that to score. VICTORY JOE - He's squaring off in fine form, recording very promising TrackMaster SRs. An excellent pick. This trainer, and the driver Page, go together like two peas in a pod. Their results together are exemplary. DRAGON MEDICINE - Could be considered in this event if only for the really strong TrackMaster Speed Rating achieved in the most recent competition. Looks like a strong choice in this race and his above average winning percentage says he has the determination to take the whole enchilada in this race.

We've got a feeling LEON DAVID is going to get the victory. It's somewhat dicey to consider on class alone, but this gelding has among the best class statistics of the group of horses. CLASSIC FRANK - His 73 average has this gelding among the finest speed ratings in this contest. It's a bit chancy to consider on class alone, but this gelding has among the most respectable class markings of the field. MY WISH CAME TRUE - The 6 hole is on fire here at Meadowlands. More wins than normal.

Jeremy Plonk: Churchill Downs Friday Stakes Plays

                        by Jeremy Plonk

                        November 28, 2025

I hope you feasted at the dinner table on Thanksgiving and also stuffed your account balance after a $9 suggested trifecta play in the Cardinal Stakes returned a juicy $379.18. We’re back at it for Churchill Downs on Black Friday, where the Mrs. Revere Stakes and Clark Stakes are co-featured.

Both stakes races are part of our Turkey Bowl holiday week bonanza. Customers who hit win bets ($10 base minimum or higher) on a minimum of 10 different selected stakes races between Thursday and Sunday will earn an equal split of $10,000 in bonus cash.

Churchill Downs: Race 10 (5:25 pm ET) | $300,000 Mrs. Revere Stakes
Hard to knock 7-5 morning line favorite #1 Lush Lips, whose sharp victory in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland was flattered when 2-4 finishers Laurelin and Fionn came back to sweep the exacta in the Jockey Club Oaks in New York. Seven straight top-2 finishes for Lush Lips include a couple of local stakes tries on the Churchill course. A field of 12 makes for appealing intra-race exotics even if you like the favorite. #10 Pretty Picture got no pace help whatsoever in the Sands Point when closing for third, earning an easily field-best 106 BRIS late pace figure. The runner-up in that race, Fast Market, already came back to win the Pebbles (and will be re-matched Friday). Trifecta 1-10-all for 2 units; 1-4-all for 1 unit. Daily Double 1-2 to next play.

Churchill Downs: Race 11 (5:54 pm ET) | $600,000 Clark Stakes
A bullet workout November 14 and reunion with Flavien Prat makes #2 First Mission highly attractive at a 5-1 morning line price in the Clark. This kind of stakes that’s just-off-the-top-cusp has been his wheelhouse the past 3 seasons. He comes in freshened since a California road trip in September while his local resume includes a second by a nose in this race in 2023. Prat piloted him to victory in the Oaklawn Handicap. Win bet #2 First Mission. Exactas 2 with 4,9. #4 Gosger should benefit from blinkers and a weight break against elders, as could Magnitude in his first try outside the 3YO ranks.

Frank Carulli: Gulfstream Park Pick 3 Analysis | Friday, November 28, 2025

                            by Frank Carulli

                            November 26, 2025

A contentious field of 2-year-olds will go post-ward in the $100,000 Pulpit Stakes on the Gulfstream Park turf this Friday. The 7-1/2F test drew nine entrants and is part of the $10,000 Turkey Bowl promotion all holiday weekend with 1/ST BET and Xpressbet (hit 10, $10 win bets for your share of $10,000). The Pulpit also caps a $1 pick 3 wager that shapes up this way:

GP 7th race (3:16 p.m. EST) -- Trainer Jose D’Angelo is 35-for-149 the last two years with synthetic track entrants transitioning from turf. He has two live entrants in this $12,500 claimer at 1 mile and 70 yards, but both could be underlays in the wagering. FULL NELSON, multiple stakes-placed on the turf last year as a 3-year-old, hasn’t raced on this surface since a 6-1/2-length victory in a $35,000 optional claimer two years ago. But he only beat two rivals in his last three starts combined, albeit in better company. NINJA STAR finished first or second in 8 of 12 starts on the synthetic track – including a stakes win against state-bred rivals in January -- but he drops in for half of his September 14 claiming price. He chased the wire-to-wire winner when second three starts back but finished ahead of two next-out winners. He ran into trouble as a follow-up favorite, then failed to rally in a fast-paced mile last out on the lawn. LEO MONTE, an eight-time winner on the synthetic surface, exited a ‘triple key’ grass race under these conditions at Monmouth two months ago, then advanced 4-wide on the final turn and finished second against New Jersey breds at the Meadowlands. He changed tactics and set the pace at 1-1/16 miles as the beaten favorite most recently. SUNSHINE FROLIC is a good-priced option to consider for Bet 3 purposes. He rallied for third from post 11 three starts ago, finishing 3-1/4 lengths behind Light Fury, who took the measure of Sunshine Frolic again for his sixth wire-to-wire victory at Gulfstream this year. He ‘navigated traffic’ into the far turn in his most recent start, finishing third again in a longer route race dominated by closers.

GP 8th race (3:46 p.m. EST) -- The action switches from the synthetic track to conventional dirt for this $6,250 claiming sprint. ETENDRE, claimed by leading trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. for $8,000 two starts ago, should get back on the winning track after his three-peat bid was cooked in a fast-paced duel. He pressed repeat winner Raging Fury, who paired up his 81 Beyer speed figures. MAJOR KING is 9/2-2-1 in $6,250 claimers this year, finishing on both sides of photo finishes three times since September. He gets in light on the cutback from one mile to 6-1/2F.

GP 9th race (4:16 p.m. EST) -- SUNRISE pressed the pace on the backstretch, dueled through the turn and was resilient in holding off the trip-sitting closers in a 1-1/16-mile maiden win at Saratoga that produced two next-out winners. The son of 2014 Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Karakonite was no factor in the Laurel Futurity, but he starts fresh and adds blinkers with a bullet workout last Friday. BRONZE BULLET wore down the fleet-footed, 2-to-5 favorite in his 5F debut, then he was bumped at the start and chased his winning stablemate in a $75,000 optional claimer to finish second. He takes off the blinkers but could be the target in his first long sprint attempt. His sire, Leinster, won three graded stakes at 5-1/2F on the lawn with triple-digit Beyers. The faster the pace, the better the chances GLORIOUS BOY continues his improved form on the switch to turf. He trailed into the stretch against three rivals in the 6F Awad Stakes at Aqueduct, but rallied determinedly on the rail and galloped out past the even-money winner. BEHOLD THE KING, the lone stakes winner in the featured Pulpit Stakes, out-gamed SKIPPING STARS in the one-mile Armed Forces on the Gulfstream lawn, now both runners are major players again while moving from inside to outside posts.

                              Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

                              Del Mar - Race #7
#8 Balnikhov Not many $1.1 million earners out there who I have thought less of throughout their careers, but this guy has danced the dances and shown up with some big runs at times. Think he classes up really well with these right now, and I like that he showed he still has some punch when trying that softer group last out.
#7 Truly Quality He's the one to beat with some honest form and sharp names in the company lines, and he didn't miss by much to Del Mar specialist Gold Phoenix last time out.
#4 Nineeleventurbo He wasn't badly beaten here last year and has some room to wake up while adding ground today after a recent campaign based around races closer to a mile. Wouldn't argue too hard with you if you landed here hoping for upside.
Race Summary Balnikhov might be in the right spot at the right time to outkick these, and I'm hoping Truly Quality will command a lot of cash to keep the offerings playable elsewhere.
                              Del Mar - Race #8
#1 Matts Advisor Emerald form seems like an OK fit in what feels like a bad bunch, and he might be quick enough to work out a trip from the fence.
#6 Wave With Envy Honest player fits here, but he has also made a habit out of going just a touch flat late in his races, so I'm a little hesitant if the price gets short.
#7 Senor Tequilas Nothing to write home about on the page so far, but he has been in with better groups through all three starts and at least has some potential to find a bit of form in this softer spot.
Race Summary Matts Advisor and Wave With Envy probably command the cash here, but the former seems a touch more trustworthy to me at this point in time.
                              Del Mar - Race #9
#6 Frank Bullitt Toss the dirt run last time out and the form feels pretty solid. Tactical type might be an OK price while getting back over to the turf here.
#4 Glorious Life He's another who should be in a good spot turning for home thanks to his positional pace, and he's capable of something better than he showed last time out.
#7 Mcgregor Lake Finisher is always liable to come to life too late, but he ran OK in a couple of the sprint tries on his page. Think he's too late, but a sharp sprint try off the bench isn't impossible either.
Race Summary Frank Bullitt probably brings something better this time around after a dull main-track effort -- he should find a good spot tracking the action from the start.
