Jeremy Plonk: Parx Bet $100, Get $10 Tuesday Picks

    December 8, 2025 | By Jeremy Plonk

The twice-weekly Winter Winner-Land promotion returns for its Tuesday & Thursday run, and first up will be action from Parx Racing. Bet $100, Get $10 with 1/ST BET and Xpressbet when playing the Tuesday card from Bensalem, Pa. The 10-race program begins at 12:05 pm ET.

Parx Racing: Race 3 | 12:59 pm ET

#2 Turn On Twiss (6-1 morning line odds) debuts with a promising, well-spaced workout tab since arriving at Parx. Trainer Richie Vega’s last 5 first-time starters at Parx include a 4-1 winner, 15-1 runner-up and 6-1 third-place finisher. With Jamie Ness, John Servis and Mike Pino trainees in this maiden claimer, the price should stay appealing. Win-place bet #2.

Parx Racing: Race 7 | 2:47 pm ET

#11 Frost Mountain (10-1 morning line odds) rallied to win by DQ last out over 6 furlongs and could relish the additional distance Tuesday. Trainer Ernesto Padilla-Preciado has been remarkable spotting which horses should go 7 furlongs locally this year. He’s won with 7 of 9 such starters at the distance (the only 2 losses came in races he won with a second entrant). Win-place bet #11.

Parx Racing: Race 9 | 3:41 pm ET

#6 Party At Sam’s (7-2 morning line odds) has struggled to get over the hump this year, but Tuesday’s drop in class and move off of the inside rail – which he has had in 2 straight starts against tougher – could be the elixir. Trainer Michael Moore always is high-percentage at Parx, but he’s been particularly hot since November 26. He’s gone 8: 5-1-1 from that point heading into this racing week, featuring winners that paid $6, $7, $7, $19 and $22. Win bet #6.

      #3
      Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

      Mahoning Valley - Race #2
#3 Rhumbaba The available dirt form is pretty solid, so I am hoping he'll handle the local footing fine with some cheaper form that doesn't feel out of place with this crew.
#1 Megastar He's capable of something better than that last one, but I'm also a bit worried that he's going to take some cash here in a spot where I'm not sure he towers over any of these.
#4 Affair to Remember Price player has room to do better today, and his mostly reliable form gives hope for a finishing run at a nice number.
Race Summary #5 Neoprene is another in with a chance while looking to reverse form. Lots of chances to bounce back in this group, and the winner is just likely who best gets back to their baseline.
      Mahoning Valley - Race #8
#3 Running Ash Nothing clever here, and the price is going to show it. That debut score was super sharp, and she doesn't appear to meet any other serious pace, so she might be having fun up top on her own the whole way again.
#6 Elopedatthederby She's got honest form and wouldn't surprise, and she seemed to get over the local course pretty well when running on late last out before they tossed the whole race due to a gate malfunction. In the mix.
#5 Mobil Dream Star She has fairly honest form that might be enough to keep her in the mix for a piece of this, and she should be a big price again. Might need a few misfires to score, but she can share.
Race Summary Running Ash got bet and ran to it in the debut try, cruising up top against eight others. She seems to find another spot in which she can control the pace, and I'm assuming she'll be gone into the lane at another underwhelming price.
      Mahoning Valley - Race #9
#3 Unbridled O'Brien Worried about his tendency to cough up a few lengths in the stretch call, but I think he's going to be in the right spot turning for home and might seal the deal today.
#9 Wisley Could see him landing this after turning in a couple solid runs, and he draws well to spy the speed early and try to sustain a wide middle move off the turn.
#7 Leftitforyou He outran his 35/1 price in the debut run and figures to be a much shorter price this time around, but he should be in line for another good trip. Wouldn't argue too hard with you at something like the 5/1 ML price.
Race Summary Think you can go a few ways in this one, but Unbridled O'Brien looks like the right one to me, even if I have some reservations about his tenacity in the stretch.

        #4
        Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

        Parx - Race #1
#9 ASSEMBLY POINT (12-1) Runs for half of re-claim price, could awaken with 11-33 mark at distance.
#4 VANZZY (5-2) Well-timed move in win, well-spotted in repeat try with plenty of back class.
#1 RACKATAPTAP (4-1) Five-time winner at distance starts for new connections, moves outside in.
Race Summary ASSEMBLY POINT stalked the pace and rallied to the lead in 3 of his last 6 route races, winning in his only try at the $5,000 level. He made a good middle move when re-claimed by trainer Phil Aristone but couldn’t sustain against a next-out repeat winner. He flopped in a fast-paced route recently but can rebound at an inflated price with a 14-54 record intact. Bet to win and place and play a 1-4-9 exacta box.
        Parx - Race #2
#3 TOOTSIE TOES (2-1) Figures tough in dreadful field if her Mountaineer Park form carries over.
#9 LINO AND ME (5-1) Middle move to brief lead from post 9, runs for cheapest tag yet.
#4 MOLLEWANTACRACKER (6-1) Has speed, burned a lot of money in her last three starts.
Race Summary TOOTSIE TOES returns to Parx after back-to-back to wins and a ‘bold move’ for third at Mountaineer Park. Take away her 3-for-11 record this year and the rest of the field is a combined 6-for-100 in 2025. She also overcame a slow pace to win at Parx in the Spring. Bet to win and place and play 3-4 and 3-9 exactas.
        Parx - Race #4
#9 ORTHO STAR (4-1) Hit best stride since Lake claim, ideally spotted to get back on winning track.
        #8 NOSTALGIA’S SMILE (3- In top form, doesn’t shy from photo-finish camera.
#2 TRULLI WARRIOR (5-1) Romped in pair of long sprints in short fields, barn good off the claim.
Race Summary ORTHO STAR’S bid for three wins in a row was foiled by a bumpy start in a fast-paced sprint on the class rise. But the 3-year-old should sit an ideal stalking trip from just off a lively pace from the outside post. Bet to win and place and play 9-2 and 9-8 exactas.

              # 3 ROYAL DUSTY 4/1
              # 6 COUGAR JEWEL 15/1
NATURALLY BLONDE is my choice. Exhibits the look of a lucrative play, averaging a solid 78 Equibase Speed Figure which is one of the top in this field. Has very good early lick and should fare well against this group of horses in this race. Ran a very solid last race. ROYAL DUSTY - Could provide positive dividends based on competitive recent speed figures with an average of 63. Garnered a formidable speed figure in the last race. Can run another good one in this contest.

                Mountaineer Park - Race #2 - Post: 7:25pm - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $11,500 Class Rating: 77

                Rating:

                #4 REVEREND JACK (ML=6/1)
                #7 EL KOZAN (ML=10/1)
                #10 SHORE TIME (ML=9/2)
                #9 BLISTERING (ML=7/2)

REVEREND JACK - Last race November 10th was pretty strong for a $7,500 Claiming race so this gelding's race wasn't all that bad. This thoroughbred coming off a solid race in the last thirty days is a strong challenger in my opinion. This gelding's last speed figure is good enough to prove victorious here, I'll wager on him back again in today's event. EL KOZAN - This gelding is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprinters that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. This rider and trainer are reliable together. Winning percentage when teamed up is extremely hard to best. SHORE TIME - Strong win pct this jockey and handler twosome have been putting together. I think this colt is very ready right now. I like the fact that Vazquez brings him back to a race so quickly. Have to give this colt a chance. Ran a solid effort in the last race within the last month. Have to like the way Vazquez has raced this colt back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. BLISTERING - I'm optimistic this colt will run well today. Last morning work was 2nd fastest of the day, which tells me he's sharp right now.

                Vulnerable Contenders: #6 XAVI (ML=5/2),

XAVI - You should normally wager against chalk that haven't raced or show no activity in the morning over the last 3 weeks.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: #4 REVEREND JACK is going to be the play if we are getting 7/2 or better

                  # 2 SMOOTH FLYIN MIKE 4/1
                  # 1 NANCY MADE MY DAY 8/1
                  # 5 MACAW 6/1
SMOOTH FLYIN MIKE is the best wager in this race. He has been racing quite well as of late while recording sharp Equibase Speed Figures. Lately Ness has provided gamblers with a very strong winning percentage with horses racing in dirt sprint races. His earnings per start in dirt sprint events alone makes you take a look at him. NANCY MADE MY DAY - Looks very good for the conditions of this race today, showing solid figs in dirt sprint races lately. With a solid return on investment of +7 this trainer has shown quite good results with entries running at this distance and surface. MACAW - Should definitely be given a shot here if only for the very good speed fig put up in the last race.

Mahoning Valley Race Course - Race #6 - Post: 2:35pm - Claiming - 8.3 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $12,200 Class Rating: 77

                    Rating:

                    #7 LAST U TURN (ML=4/1)
                    #9 TETCHED (ML=3/1)
                    #4 Z BOSS (ML=8/1)

LAST U TURN - This gelding's last speed figure recorded on November 17th is utmost in last race Equibase speed figures. I like that recent race on November 17th at Mahoning Valley Race Cour where he ran third. Gelding will add blinkers to the equipment package today. That often leads to an improved performance. TETCHED - After the race aboard this horse on November 17th, the jock is going to be acquainted with the gelding much better. I really like that latest contest on November 17th at Mahoning Valley Race Cour where he ended up second. PP data show this horse with three improving speed figures. Rivera should be on a horse ready to win in this race. The most recent speed fig of 77 is the best last race fig in the group. Z BOSS - Jockey jumped on this gelding's back for the first try on Nov 17th. Should be in tune with the horse even better this time around. This jockey/conditioner duo has been producing a high win percent, right around 41.

                    Vulnerable Contenders: #8 CITIZEN (ML=7/2), #5 ACTION MAN (ML=6/1),

CITIZEN - He showed not much at all in the last event. This gelding will likely bounce, and not even come close to the recent speed figure of 70. ACTION MAN - The sixth place finish in the last affair was not the best.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: Put your money on #7 LAST U TURN on the nose if you can get odds of 4/1 or more
