Mahoning Valley - Race #5

#8 Nachthexan	She brings a couple of forward works to this, and that offers some hope for better today while getting around two turns on the dirt for the first time. Could stay today.
#9 Dark Thirty	She's probably tough here while making her local debut, and I imagine the local class level isn't too far off what she has been facing in those recent runs. Dangerous with a good tracking trip waiting for her.
#1 Fromthewonderland	She has been knocking on the door at Fort Erie, and she should find a good spot from the fence here with her bit of tactical pace. Wouldn't surprise.
Race Summary	Nachthexan has had some starts and stops already in her short career, but I'm wondering if she might be ready for better today while getting back around two turns and making her second start of the year.

Mahoning Valley - Race #9

#2 Just Like Rambo	Don't really trust him to stay, but I think the price might be OK, and he could be right up top in a race without a ton of serious early burn. Chance.
#4 Bohemian Style	Honest player has enough pace to keep tabs on the top choice, but he can also sit just a bit and press, so he's probably going to be in line to inherit the lead if that one starts to come back.
#8 Reckless L J	Could see him getting a really nice trip while spying the speed and potentially picking them up if the top two get into it too early. Wouldn't argue too hard with you.
Race Summary	Just Like Rambo has run in a few tough spots over the last year, and he might be able to utilize his pace to find the front with this crew.

Mahoning Valley - Race #10

#5 Stepnoski	Nothing but brief chasing pace from him so far, but I like that they put another work into him since that last run and wonder if he might stay better here. Price will be right to find out.
#3 Now Teddy	He split a small field last out, but something like that probably keeps him in the picture again with today's group. In the mix, I'm just not that enthusiastic about him.
#6 Paramount's Pick	Get a look at him on the tote and track ahead of this, as he has turned in some pretty snappy works along the way, but nothing in over a month. Guessing he's ready?
Race Summary	Stepnoski might have an upset chance here if he's tighter this time around, as he has plenty of room to come forward off the dull local debut last out.

Race Summary	Somebody has to pick up their third win in a field that is a combined 8-for-142. GUNS earned his top speed figure in a maiden win two back at Prairie Meadows, then he finished a willing third as the favorite in isr first start at Delta. He steps up in claiming price in his second start since September for a high-percentage barn with similar layoff types. Bet to win and place and play a 1-3-4 exacta box.

This thoroughbred is in great demand coming off two claims in her last two starts. Don't overlook this filly in your betting today. SALLY'S GOLD - Good return on investment for this jockey and handler pair.

Smart handicappers love to play the driver of this gelding - exemplary win rate these days. CAVIAR CREEK - Don't count out this fine animal, especially with Hochstetler as the trainer. In the money percentage is terrific. Hard to put finger on it, but like him for this race. LONG ROCKY ROAD - Gelding has one of the most compelling win percentages in the field of starters and that could be the deciding factor when they hit the wire.
