Turfway Park - Race #5

#1 Cup of Coffee	She's gotten a bit short on excuses and starting to look like a type I don't typically like, but there are also a few runs on her page that would keep her right on the line again today. Inside draw could be tricky, but she might have a run for it.
#2 Lighten	Even debut run can set her up for better, especially considering she got almost a month off after that one and has since come back working regularly ahead of this. Guessing there might be more here.
#10 Mony Mony	Toyed with having her as the choice in here, as she might wind up in a really dreamy kind of spying spot while rating just off the more committed pace types. Probably gets right of first attack.
Race Summary	Cup of Coffee is tough to trust at this point, but I think the price might be OK, and maybe she tries to shake loose on the turn as the rail pace.

Turfway Park - Race #8

#9 Hogie the Player	Love the trip he might get from out here even if I'm still not totally convinced he can get past horses from a pressing spot if he has to. That said, there is not a ton of serious sprint pace lined up, and I think he's likely to put away his main forward foe drawn further inside.
#3 Willie Bird	Think one of these two will land it -- this one is the other serious sprint pace, but he's not particularly brave when things don't go his way. All else being level, he will have to turn away the top choice the whole way.
#12 Bruhn	He's just quick enough to avoid getting totally outrun in here, and he seems like a logical player who can finish into the splits if the top two find themselves in a long battle. Has to fire fresh off the February 2025 layoff.
Race Summary	Hogie the Player should be sent from the start here to engage the other serious pace, and I'm hoping the outside draw will be the slight edge this one needs to win that early battle and hold late.

Turfway Park - Race #10

#2 Authentic Appeal	Get a look at her on the tote and track, as she's bringing a few snappy local works with her to this first start, and there isn't much in here even for the level.
#4 Listentourmother	She was a decent fit with this kind of crew last time out while a non-threatening third, but it wouldn't be a shock to see her sustain that run a bit better.
#6 Don't Even	Dropper took some cash and only flashed brief pace in the debut, but that came with better at Keeneland, and there might be some reasonable upside at second asking with a softer bunch.
Race Summary	Authentic Appeal is interesting enough on paper to get first call, but either way, I think this is a race you can go looking for some kind of midrange price on someone -- not hard sold on any of them. Let the tote guide you.

Race Summary	HIDDEN BEAUTY chased the 6-to-5 winner until the stretch and ‘kept trying’ when third in a shorter sprint. She raced greenly in a heavily-bet stakes debut, but showed promise when Lasix and blinkers were added last out. Bet to win and place and play 3-7, 3-8, 7-3 and 7-8 exactas.

Turf Paradise - Race #4

#4 KAZMATAZ (4-1)	Exits strong race, rallied into photo-finish view against the boys on turf two back.
#5 BENSTER (1-1)	Lightly-raced 6-year-old hit board in 3 of 4 MSW grass routes against Cal breds.
#1 WHITE PEONY (3-1)	Has speed and rail, dam was stakes-winning long sprinter on the dirt.
Race Summary	KAZAMATAZ broke outward, saved ground and made a run at the winning favorite when she faced the boys at this distance on turf two back. She finished a distant third in a 6F follow-up on the main track that timed faster than a $30,000 maiden claimer for the boys on the same card. Bet to win and place and play 4-1 and 4-5 exactas.

Turf Paradise - Race #6

#4 IMMELMANN (6-1)	Well-spotted in repeat try for new connections, tempting morning-line price.
#7 SHACKLEFORD STRONG (10-1)	Won 3 of 5 in middle of 2025, wake-up candidate with alert break.
#8 SHUDDER (8-1)	Two-time winner since eligibility cutoff date qualifies under nw/4 condition.
Race Summary	IMMELMANN is perfectly spotted for a repeat victory, remaining eligible despite an odds-on win for a $4,000 tag. He is 11/4-3-0 since February of last year while keeping good company. His tactical speed can only help. Bet to win and place and play a trifecta key with #4 over 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10.

1^st race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (4) Undergrad (A) broke last in her debut and used a late rally to finish fourth as part of a blanket finish. (5) Three Nines Fine had a couple of second-place finishes earlier in the winter that are good enough to win this race. (2) Patience N Gracecomes back from a short layoff when he finished just behind the second choice twice. (3) Lady Delilah will cutback in distance and ran second the last time she ran closer to six furlongs.

4^th race [Clm 10000, 6 ? F] – (3) Book of Wisdom (B) got herded during a rally down the stretch and missed by a neck. Blinkers come off. (5) Best Impression was claimed on Jan. 1 for $10,000 and came back two weeks later to win for $12,500. (6) Miss Laohas a pair of seconds at Aqueduct in her most recent races. (2) Dream On Cara drops back to this lowest level after getting claimed for $10,000 when she finished third three weeks ago.

6^th race [NY, Alw 77000 N1X, 6F] – (3) Merica’s Back (A) broke last, rushed up, got herded and was third in a blanket finish. (4) Fireballin was a debut winner who comes back from a June layoff as a new gelding with a third at this level after having the lead in the stretch. (7) New York Scrappyused a front-end effort to win last time in a $50,000 claimer against open company. (2) Roofer pressed the pace in his last two races, had the lead, and then hit the board.

9^th race [OC 75k/C, 6 ? F] – (4) Playa Del Mar (A) moved to a dead rail in the stretch run and faded to finish third. (3) House United (C) used a late run to finish second behind a horse that Linda Rice had claimed in Kentucky. (10) Gamebred has two wins and a second in his last four starts while rallying from behind to get a maiden win and a $50K claimer victory. (8) Fiddling Felix won his last two starts in a maiden claimer and then for a $50,000 tag last month.
