Santa Anita Park - Race #7

#2 Yellow Card	He's better than that last one, and I'm hoping he'll still offer an OK price with a few lengths to turn on the next guy. There are races on his page that would land this.
#1 Sumter	Think some of his very best stuff comes in that downhill-to-route distance range, but he has been in good form and gets into an easier spot than he saw when second in that Grade II last out.
#3 Irish Royalty	Think he has a midrange price chance to make a little noise here. He's obviously short on class, but the last one was sharp and might keep him in the frame here.
Race Summary	Yellow Card looks like a bounce-back candidate here after a flat run last time out, and I think he gets last laugh today from a good spying spot.

Santa Anita Park - Race #8

#4 Super Corredora	She's an obvious player here as the Breeders' Cup champ, and she has the pace to sit right up on the splits again in this short group. Wins the full-field cat-and-mouse game?
#1 Meaning	Wouldn't argue too hard with anyone landing here -- she probably still has some upside with just the two lifetime starts to her name and isn't too far off the better names in here.
#2 Explora	Sharp comeback run last out at five cents on the dollar, and her big win came going two turns on the local footing. She obviously likes it here and has the class to back everything up. Dangerous of course.
Race Summary	Might be fun to watch this one play out -- they all have enough pace to sit close early on, and it could be a matter of who can keep up with the various middle moves that quicken the tempo.

Santa Anita Park - Race #9

#8 Lahaina Flavor	He's always a bit tough to trust, but his better stuff stacks up well here, and there might be an honest enough tempo to give him a chance to finish.
#1 Uncle Happy	He might be an OK price, and I think his baseline try is competitive for the gimmicks. Versatile type can pick a spot from the fence.
#10 Hiding in Honduras	Dropper went right into stakes company off his debut score, and he's now back into this easier spot after landing that Grade II run last time out. Dangerous if he holds form.
Race Summary	Lahaina Flavor gets the call from off the pace here, as I think the pace may play just fairly enough. Look for him late.

3rd race – (8) Best Artist could draw up a winning trip here. (10) Four Guns may improve in his second start. (7) Value Inthe Clouds steps up but seems to like Tapeta. (1) Ky’s Law should benefit from the cutback in distance and a rail trip. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-7-8-10. Doubles: 1-7-8-10 with 2-7-8-9.

4th race – (8) Wiretapped seems ready for a sharp debut for Pletcher. (9) Clean Winner will welcome a return to dirt. (7) Betty’s Pearl belongs in the exotics. (2) Joyful Justice is another interesting firster. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-8-9.

7th race – (8) Mainstream has been away since July but is working quickly for his return. (5) Love’m Or Liam should pose a threat in the stretch. (7) First Call Bob could be a factor in his debut. (6) Ark Royal will welcome a return to dirt. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-6-7-8.

9th race – (5) Sadie the Goat has speed and should be tough to catch here. (3) St. Olaf Rose looks like the main rival. (6) Gallop d’Hermes could improve with blinkers on. (7) Pop Rox merits attention off the D’Angelo claim. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6-7.
