2^nd race [Alw 50000s, 1 1/8 mi] – (3) Royal Bobbie (B) ran third twice following a layoff for Linda Rice. (5) Snide was a maiden special weight winner and then had the lead going nine-furlongs to finish second. (4) Higher Force won her last two races against NY-breds moving through the allowance conditions and comes back from a November layoff. (2) Fast and Frisky was claimed twice for $45,000 after finishing second in the state-bred second-level allowance.

4^th race [NY, Alw 35000s, 1 mi] – (2) Devils Arrow moves to the barn of Chad Summers to return to NY-bred competition after running second in a pair of allowances at Parx. (7) Alyvia Mavis broke her maiden for $30,000 in December and then came back to finish second in a starter allowance at Parx. (5) Timia was a front-end winner for a $17,500 tag against a field of nine. (1) Rumint won 3 out of her last 4 races and was third in January in an allowance.

5^th race [Md 12500, 1 mi] – (7) Come to Papa was claimed by Linda Rice in Kentucky for $30,000 and finished second last month at Aqueduct and drops down again. (6) Freedom Maker was second at this level in his last two starts and gets blinkers on. (3) Noguchi has been racing for a $20,000 tag in his last three starts where he set the pace and had a second in November for Linda Rice. (8) Natural Hunk was third last time behind a horse that won two races in a row.

6^th race [OC16k/SAL 12k, 6 ? F] - (5) She’s Cool (C) took a ton of late money dropping odds from 9-1 to 7-2, finished third as a voided claim, changes barns, and returns from a November layoff. (3) My First Love(B) was the 4-5 favorite, raced on a dead rail to finish second, and got claimed back. (2) Jackie the Joker cut back to sprinting and was a winner in a similar spot. (1) Problematica set the pace to run second at this level last month.

Best bets: Devils Arrow (4^th); Come to Papa (5^th). Best Value: Royal Bobbie (2^nd); She’s Cool (6^th).

1st race – (8) Magic Solar lost by a nose in his last try on turf. Gets the call here. (10) Four Counts is an interesting first-time starter. (12) Mas Que Nada is another firster who seems to have potential. (2) Rum Room could be a contender here. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-8-10-12.

3^rd race – (3) All I Do drops to a level where she looks best. (8) Crimson Red should be a main threat after a second last time. (2) Zany Lady put in a bullet work for this. (6) Firebomb may wake up on dirt. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6-8. Doubles: 2-3-6-8 with 1-5-8-10.

4th race – (8) My Wish was a troubled fourth in her debut and should make amends here. (1) Ensley should be helped by a rail trip. TIGRE - Jockey hops back aboard after getting to know the race horse by riding last out. That's always a helpful angle. Great chance for this pony. Big late speed and should have good position. The January 16th clash at Tampa Bay Downs was at a class level of (90). Dropping to a lower class level drastically, so he should be in a good spot. THAT SUN OF A GUN - Winless in his last three starts, this gelding's last win came on October 10th at the same level and distance of today's race. Dropping in class figure points from his January 16th race at Tampa Bay Downs. Based on that data, I will give this horse the advantage. This gelding gets a weight break of -7 pounds from last race. This could make a difference in this event.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 MAKOA (ML=3/1), #2 TWO'S A CROWD (ML=5/1), #1 ENDLESS REIGN (ML=6/1),

MAKOA - Ran well to finish second on January 24th, but hasn't had nary a morning drill since then. The speed rating in the last race doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the class figure of today's contest. Mark this thoroughbred as a questionable challenger. This gelding is always close, but just doesn't win. Hard to wager on him on the win end. TWO'S A CROWD - The speed figure last time out doesn't fit very well in this affair when I look at the class rating of today's affair. Mark this thoroughbred as a questionable contender. ENDLESS REIGN - Hard to recommend any animal with declining speed figs of 83/80/63. Won't be easy for this thoroughbred to beat this group off of that last speed figure. Not probable to improve enough to run a figure anywhere near today's class rating, so put him on the vulnerable competitors list.

In recent races, has posted the best Equibase speed figs on the turf at this distance. WOLFBERRY - You always have to be on the patrol for profit making jockey/conditioner combos; we have an instance right here. Ran last out against much better horses at Sam Houston. The move down in the class scale should suit her well. Gustafson adds Lasix for the 2nd time today. Could be helpful in today's race. I'm focusing on the class of this fine animal, and this one is the 'classiest' of the bunch.
