Will Rogers Downs - Race #5

#2 Forbidden Love	Price isn't going to be much, but I think the trajectory of her form through two starts suggests she's the right one in what doesn't feel like the deepest race for the local level. Dangerous here.
#4 Sunday Night Code	Her only route try was pretty solid in that $20,000 claiming spot at Remington in November, and she might find herself in a really good spot tracking the pace with these. In the mix.
#6 Six Gun Sally	Wouldn't be surprised if we saw something better today while getting around two turns, as there are a couple of tries on the page that stack up nicely with this crew if she can duplicate it at this trip.
Race Summary	Forbidden Love stretches out with fairly compelling form in a modest race, and I think she'll handle these. Six Gun Sally might be the right price player to try to get in the mix.

Will Rogers Downs - Race #6

#5 Stage Left	Think he's in line for a great trip -- he's quick enough to stay in touch but has a better rating gear than some of the forward players. Watches it unfold.
#2 Mi Saturday	He just beat the top choice when they met in that stakes spot last time out, and there aren't a ton of big arguments against him on form right now. My only mild worry is that there are a couple others who might be just quick enough to keep him from getting a breather. The one to beat.
#6 Rexford	His better stuff fits well here, but he has to turn tables on both of the top pair in this spot after coming up a bit empty late in that common stakes spot.
Race Summary	Stage Left could get a nice run while tucked just in behind a few quicker players early, and he should offer a fair enough price in the rematch with Mi Saturday.

Will Rogers Downs - Race #7

#4 Saintslute	She chased the pace and came up empty in the debut run in October, but there isn't a ton of seriously committed early zip in here, and she might be quick enough to sit right up on the splits. Enough upside to be interesting today with a good race flow and the addition of Lasix.
#1 So Whatro	She has had a lot of chances and is not full of good excuses at this point, but she does have a touch of finishing form on her page, and that alone might make her a danger in a race where most of them will be empty by midstretch.
#3 Cool American Babe	She has never been in this easy, but she's also not bringing a lot of exciting form with her from those four special weight tries. Nobody's going to fall out of her chair if she wins this, but I don't know how to get that excited about what's on paper -- even on the solid drop.
Race Summary	Saintslute has some upside while going second off the break and likely racing close to the pace, and I'd be willing to sign on at something shorter than the 12/1 ML price today.

Race Summary	INTERPLAY, a lightly-raced 6-year-old, skipped the maiden ranks to run in an one-mile optional claiming race on the turf. She took a lot of money in his second start off a year layoff and rallied from far back to finish second to favored Expressive Love (3-11, $42k). Like her chances in this spot but wouldn’t expect 3-1 morning-line price. Bet to win and place and play 4-6-1 and 4-6-5 straight trifectas.

Turf Paradise - Race #4

#3 MALA (9-2)	Good moves in last pair, can return quick claim dividend at a good morning-line price.
#1 DEKUDYLAN (4-1)	Closed like a wild horse to edge Mala for third straight runner-up finish on dirt.

Race Summary	MALA, claimed out of his last two starts for a higher claiming price than today, can upgrade his third-place finishes that were spaced a week apart. He made first run on the winning – and troubled – favorite two back and led in mid-stretch while very wide. He rallied 3-wide in the stretch last out at 6-1/2F and just missed second behind the odds-on winner. Bet to win and place and play 3-1 and 3-4 exactas.

Turf Paradise - Race #7

#3 GOLDEN GREEK (4-1)	Sat good trip, rallied inside, dead game to the end in blanket finish.
#5 EVANDERKEEN (7-2)	Ended nine-month winless drought with power move, transitions from turf.
#6 RATLEFF (9-2)	Just missed after stretch-long duel in first start on dirt since 2024.
Race Summary	GOLDEN GREEK settled in mid-pack behind a fast pace, rallied in tandem with the upset winner and went down fighting in a four-horse blanket finish in the same spot. A thoroughbred coming back this soon after a strong effort is a good omen. This filly is rounding her way back into shape. Should race well today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 DYNAMIC VISION (ML=1/1), #5 LEGAL JARGON (ML=3/1),

DYNAMIC VISION - This filly hasn't had any recent accomplishments in sprint contests. Not easy to bet on her in this contest. LEGAL JARGON - Last performed on February 9th at Mahoning Valley Race Cour, finishing fourth. Not likely to get better off of that effort today. The speed rating last time around the track doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's race. Mark this entrant as a questionable challenger.

SHUG'S ROCKET - Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Woolley have shown sharp results lately. Woolley has shown excellent profits (+6 return on investment ) at this distance/surface.

The jockey and handler combination have a profitable ROI when they partner up. This trainer has a highly positive ROI with first time starters. SOAR ABOVE - When Ruiz and Flores-Coba team up on animals the return on investment has been great at +249. This is a classic 'Lone Front-runner' scenario. If Ruiz gets him out of the gate cleanly it'll likely be smooth sailing. Last race at Parx Racing on January 5th was a big class drop for this horse. Facing similar foes right here in this race. He should do well this time. The 47 latest race speed rating looks strong in the TrackMaster PPs.

Vulnerable Contenders: #10 CAP'N CATS (ML=4/1), #7 FILLED WITH DESIRE (ML=9/2), #6 MYBANDIT (ML=5/1),

CAP'N CATS - Hasn't hit the board in any sprint contests of late. Not probable to see him doing it this time out either. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this field. FILLED WITH DESIRE - A bit of a lackluster outing when this colt finished sixth. No picnic to play this runner this time out. Make him show you something in a sprint event before you bet on him in a race of 6 furlongs. MYBANDIT - Should have at least hit the board in the last couple of months in a sprint contest to be worth the chance at short odds in a sprint.

The trainer Groen has a way with this gelding, regularly cashing in their outings. WESTERN NOB - Has a very compelling shot in this race, if he can perform to his back racing class. XENIA - Overall figures look very good. Can't throw him out of the picture.

Fans should always give a second look to race horses starting from the 5 hole as the return on investment is much better than normal. LUVUTOTHEMOONANBAK - Many bettors know speed is of the utmost importance. This contender has credentials with a 80 average figure. It's a bit chancy to consider based only on class, but this gelding has among the most competitive class ratings of the race. VALIDUS - The trainer Jeffries has a special way with this mare, regularly cashing in their outings.
