The “Lucky Strides” promotion this March at 1/ST BET and Xpressbet offers a $10 bonus when you bet $100 or more at select tracks each Tuesday and Thursday. Turf Paradise will be the track spotlighted for this Tuesday. Here’s how I’ll approach that card with the help of the Betmix Angler database.

Turf Paradise: Race 7

#3 Love That Witch (6-1 morning line odds) looks for back-to-back wins since joining the Wade Rarick barn in Arizona and adding blinkers. The trainer has gone wild with a 21: 10-3-2 mark at Turf Paradise over the past month – including 6: 4-1-0 teamed with jockey Orlando Mojica during that span. Win #3. Daily Double 3-4 to next play.

Turf Paradise: Race 8

#4 Halo Uncle (5-1 morning line odds) races first time off the claim for a Wendell Matt barn that suddenly has gotten hot. An 11% outfit is 7: 3-0-3 since Feb. 21 with $5, $10, $37 winners and the only horse to miss the money was 49-1 odds. I like seeing regular rider Kiaman McGregor stick with the mount through the trainer change. Win-place #4.

TO BE LOVED BY YOU - As the only speedball in the race, I expect this mare to be long gone. Last time out, finished tenth on a muddy track at Parx Racing. Will do better in this event. FIFTY NINE FIFTY - This filly looks like a natural router, based on efforts in last 2 sprint races. This filly is in good condition. Ran third on March 4th. This filly's last figure notched on March 4th is at the top in last race speed ratings.

Vulnerable Contenders: #3 HARD SPICE (ML=9/2), #7 ELEANOR RIGBY (ML=5/1), #4 SPANISH GIRL (ML=6/1),

HARD SPICE - This racer has had no success at Parx Racing. ELEANOR RIGBY - Multiple chances for this vulnerable equine at Parx Racing and still hasn't received her first victory here. SPANISH GIRL - Difficult to put your money on the win end of any entrant that finishes second and third as often as this thoroughbred does. This racer ran a common speed rating in the last race. She shouldn't run much better and will probably get beat today running that rating.

My selection for this race is SPEIGHT AND MALICE. Is difficult not to examine based on speed figures which have been competitive - 77 avg - of late. The winning percentage shown by horses entered by Buehrer running at this distance are the strongest in this group. Ranked high in earnings per start at the distance/surface in this field of horses. CABO MISCHIEF - With a formidable jockey who has won at a decent 18 percent clip over the last month. This has to be one of the top picks. He has a very good distance/surface win record - 3 for 10. GOOD SCOUT - Solid selection to take this race going in a dirt sprint. Looks very strong against this group and should be one of the early speedsters.

Has a very strong shot for this race if you like back class. Has to be given a chance versus this group displaying formidable numbers as of late and an average speed figure of 73 under similar conditions. AIR SHOW - Should be given consideration here on the basis of the figs in the speed department alone. Conditioner has strong win rate (21 percent) at this distance and surface. TOM'S SPIRIT - Should compete soundly in the early pace clash which bodes well with this group. Could best this field based on the speed rating - 73 - of his last affair.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 WORK ZONE (ML=2/1), #1 THE KWEEN'S KING (ML=4/1), #4 BUTCHY BOY (ML=5/1),

WORK ZONE - Finished second in his most recent effort with a quite unimpressive speed rating. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to score after that in this bunch. THE KWEEN'S KING - This animal hasn't been in the money in either of his last two races. BUTCHY BOY - I'd like to see more hospitable recent efforts with morning line odds of 5/1. Difficult to put your money on the win end of any horse that finishes second and third as frequently as this entrant does.

If you want a very nice play for this race, feast your eyes on ROSE RUN ZEKE. Worth looking at here based on the figures in the TrackMaster SR department alone. The wagering panel noted a sharp outing out of this harness racer last time. Looking for a repeat effort of that to score. A nice play in here as he has one of the highest winning pcts in the grouping as well as strong credentials all around. WE BE JAMMIN - Always magnificent driver-conditioner twosome. 23 percent winners when they team up. Sometimes you just have to go with good feelings, support this one's chances. CAPTAIN CASH - The 80 avg class figure may give this gelding a distinct advantage in the field of horses. That 79 speed figure clocked in the last race puts this interesting entrant in the mix for this race.

If performance in the last race is any indicator, this entrant will have a very good shot in this race. High last race speed rating. IN THE END - When the starter calls, interesting entrants beginning out of the 4 post have more wins than you would expect. Handicappers love to play the driver of this mare - excellent win percent in recent times. LETSGOTOPARIS - A really good play in here as he has one of the highest winning stats in the field of horses as well as excellent credentials all around. This harness racer looks very good. Take a good look at the 90 average speed rating.
