Turfway Park - Race #3

#8 Span of Control	Nothing to write home about in the recent running lines, but he has been competitive with better in the past and moves into a barn that has been firing with live shots at prices for the last several weeks. Might wake up.
#9 On Palm Sunday	He has been such a reliable finisher over the local footing, and he figures to show up with another solid baseline effort. One of the ones.
#4 Grimes	His form has always been all over the place, and the two-back run would probably keep him in the frame if he were to get back to it today. Price should be OK if you want to find out.
Race Summary	Span of Control and Grimes both have some decent midrange price appeal, and I'll try to pair them up with On Palm Sunday, who I think will be right there. Mostly a barn and back form play on the top choice.

Turfway Park - Race #7

#10 Light Cav	Wanting something like the 10/1 ML price to see if he's got something better to offer after the kind of flat run at 3/1 last time out. Might be better going long without blinkers today.
#9 Winter Holiday	Tactical type should be quick enough to avoid getting hung out too wide while stretching out around two turns, but he's also probably going to take some cash again in a race that feels competitive enough.
#8 Question Answered	He should find a good spying spot and obviously fits if he brings his best stuff, but I don't totally trust him to back up the good run last time out at what might not be a great price.
Race Summary	Light Cav gets the edge in a race where I'm looking outside for all the main players. He might have some upside while shedding the blinkers today, and I'm assuming the price is going to be better than last out.

Turfway Park - Race #10

#7 Dizzy Chick	She steps into a tougher spot today, but her debut run looked decent enough, and I'm not sure there is a ton of serious depth to be afraid of on paper in here.
#9 Loriebeth	She's the one to beat with some outside pace in a race without a ton of speed lined up, and she's probably in line for a cozy kind of first-over trip.
#5 Jittier Girl	She went mostly evenly in the debut run late last year, but she's another who probably only needs some reasonable upside to be in the picture with this crew.
Race Summary	Dizzy Chick steps up after debuting for a tag, but she's not finding the deepest spot for the level and might get an OK trip if she's just a touch more tactical today.

Race Summary	MT. D’ORO chased the winning 4-to-5 favorite while 4-wide on the turn and ‘kept on’ to finish third in a higher-tagged claimer at this distance. The interior fractions stacked up favorably with a conditioned $5,000 sprint for the boys on the same card. Bet to win and place and play 6-1 and 6-7 exactas.

#4 BLUE FASHION (3-1)	In good form cycle, distance suits, but rest of field has more than two wins.
#7 LONG GONE SALLY (8-5)	Won four consecutive sprints on the front end before stakes attempt.
#1 EASY COME EASY GO (5-2)	Rallied to win at 6F off re-claim, looks to build on 4-for-8 mark at 7F.
Race Summary	BLUE FASHION overcame bumpy starts and sustained her rally for 1-2 finishes going a route of ground as the favorite. She is well-suited for 7F and should hold good form for a 21-percent route-to-sprint barn. Bet to win and place and play a 4-7 exacta box with favored LONG GONE SALLY, who could be long gone on the lead.

Tampa Bay Downs - Race #4

#8 HARPER’S AFLEET (8-1)	Tests open company for first time, projects ideal trip in repeat try.

WELAKA - Using this jock/handler combination is a smart choice. The morning line odds on this gelding are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of conditioner Danner. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. A strong handicapping angle is Lasix - 1st time. Danner gives it to this one for this contest. FIRST STRIKE - Racing over a familiar track, where he has won multiple times before, I have to put this horse at the top of my list of choice plays. The improved speed ratings over the last 3 races is solid. Gorostieta drops him in this race in shape and ready to win. The 108 last race speed figure looks mighty good on paper. BABY MAX - Ranks highest in earnings per start. A strong outing in this race will add to that bankroll. This jockey and handler have a beneficial return on investment when they combine forces. A pony coming back this promptly after a good race is a good omen. Went a route in the Dust Commander at Turfway Park last out from an outside post position. Moving to the inside at a similar distance should benefit this colt. Danner adds Lasix to this one today. I'd look for an improvement.

I think about HOWDIDTHATWORKOUT here. Will almost certainly go to the front end and could never look back. Ought to be considered based on the formidable speed figure garnered in the last contest. This filly is a definite contender based on her earnings per start in dirt sprint contests.CHARTHENA - Has formidable early speed and will probably fare quite well against this group. Earned a sound speed figure in the most recent race. Can run another good one in this affair. ELITE MISS - Change in Lasix (with second time Lasix) may be the recipe to a turnaround. This filly looks very good in this contest since Chapman has a very solid winning percentage with horses going this distance.

RESPIGHI - With a +17 return on investment, this jockey and trainer duo has produced decent dividends recently for risk takers. Put up a competitive Equibase speed fig last time out. SAM'S GLORY - Has to be considered against this group displaying competitive figs lately and an average speed rating of 55 under similar conditions. This equine enters today's race on Lasix.

KEI - Jock jumped on this gelding's back for the first attempt on February 25th. Should be acquainted with the equine even better today. Taking a trip down in class ranks; has the ability to make his presence felt. Ran a less than stellar race at Mahoning Valley Race Cour last time around the track. Racing under better track conditions puts this gelding at the top of my contenders list.

RUNNINGONHIGHLEVEL - When any animal improves so much on the mud, I have to be uncertain about him next time. LOOKIN LIKE LUCKY - You always think this horse has a shot to be victorious, but he just misses most of the time. MARAVICH - This equine doesn't have a winning temperament. Almost always finishes close, but no cigar. Hard to take this racer at the price after the result (third) in the last affair.

SHAKE IT has a very good shot to take this gathering. Cannot put a finger on it, but like this gelding for a wager. Worth looking at here on the basis of the numbers in the speed rating department alone. With a very nice 86 TrackMaster speed fig last time out, will more than likely be a factor in this gathering. MOVIN' ON UP - He has been going to post strongly and the TrackMaster speed figs are among the most compelling in the field. With a 84 avg class number, this horse has one of the most respectable class edges in the field. EVER M - Really liked this gelding's last race. Ran a solid 85 TrackMaster Speed Rating. Major contender. Gelding and trainer go together like spaghetti and meatballs. They finish in the money 63 percent of their races.
