My selection for this event is INFINITE PRIDE. Formidable selection to take this race going in a dirt sprint. He looks decent in this spot and I expect will be on the lead or close at the halfway point. Put up a sound speed figure in the most recent race. Can run another good one in this affair. RISTRE - Has solid Equibase Class Figures relative to this group of horses - worth a look. BLACK TWISTER - Rodriguez ought to be able to get this colt to break out sharply in this race. Always seems to be close up at the finishing post.

UNAUTHORIZED - Torres is right back for another contest today after sitting atop this equine for the first time on February 19th and ought to know the ropes to this one a little better. I sense an early speed duel developing here. If that happens, this colt will be in the catbird's seat to run down the leaders. Faced tougher last time around the track at Oaklawn Park. Based on Equibase class figures, this is a weaker field, so I will put this one on my list of top contenders. PRIME SUSPECT - Jockey jumped on this colt's back for the 1st attempt on Mar 1st. Should be acquainted with the horse even better today. This speedball should benefit from this race's shorter trip. This colt is rounding his way back into shape. Should race well today. Last raced at Oaklawn Park in a race with a class rating of 90. Dropping a significant amount in class rating this time around puts him in a solid position right here. BROSNAN - Really have to figure this horse is going to be on the money near the finish line.

CRYPTO CORY - The rating in the last race doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's contest. Mark this horse as a vulnerable contender.

This colt with Kimura in the saddle makes him a definite contender. He has been running admirably and the Equibase speed figs are among the best in this group. ROBIN OLDS - With a reliable 75 average speed figure at the distance, seems well suited for today's contest. Jockey's recent return on investment figs make this colt a strong bet. DR. FILKINS - He has earned strong figs under today's conditions and will probably fare well versus this group of animals. Looks competitive to be up on the front end at the first call.

MY MILESTONE - This clash sets up for this gelding. I call this the 'Lone Stalker' scenario. When the real running starts, he'll be in perfect stalking position. This jockey and handler's horses have been producing a profitable ROI. Have to make this gelding a contender; he comes off a nice race on February 26th. The improved Equibase speed figures over the last 3 races is solid. Sharp drops him in this event in great shape.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 HALFTIME SHOW (ML=3/1), #6 RICHEZTOO (ML=7/2), #8 FROSTED MUG (ML=6/1),

HALFTIME SHOW - Improbable for this entrant to do much running with no recent good showings in a short distance race. RICHEZTOO - 7/2 is not worth it for any animal in a sprint of 6 furlongs that hasn't hit the board in a sprint affair of late. FROSTED MUG - 6/1 is just too low of a price to take on most any mount that has run poorly in back to back efforts.

GUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - MY MILESTONE - A tried and true angle. Take a sprinter in the third and fourth start after a freshening. That's the time when they peak.

FERNETTI N - Gelding has one of the best win percents in the field of horses and that could be the deciding factor when they hit the wire.
