Fair Grounds - Race #7

#8 Kingofsomewherehot	He took a tiny bit of cash at 8/1 in a big group at Kentucky Downs in the debut run, but he showed nothing and now resurfaces for his next start six months later. The works are interesting enough from what you can gather on paper, and he could move forward with Lasix.
#4 La Norme De Jour	His form went the wrong way in a hurry after a couple of promising starts to open the career, but maybe he can bounce back here while turning back with blinks. Better stuff from Ellis last summer might do.
#7 General Graham	Only real worry here is that the price will get short in a soft spot -- nothing wrong with looking for a fresh face in a spot like this.
Race Summary	Kingofsomewherehot may have found the right spot to return with some upside while racing on the main with Lasix today after showing nothing in the Kentucky Downs debut.

Fair Grounds - Race #8

#1 Pineland	Turnback player is going to have to use that route pace to avoid getting totally outrun in the early stages, but he might end up getting a pretty cozy go from the fence. In the mix at an OK price?
#6 Fit to Fly	Considered him on top -- he's cheap, but he's really sharp right now and rises for this in search of a fifth consecutive score. Should get a great run of things from right up top. His form is compelling enough right now that he wouldn't be any kind of surprise.
#7 Vesture	He was much the best in that last one, but he's going to have to hold every bit of that form if he's going to win right back against a decent enough group. I'm not sold at what is likely an underlaid price.
Race Summary	Pineland looks interesting today while turning back, as he has been in decent route form and probably gets overlooked a touch here while meeting some trip specialists. #2 Mister Mmmmm should probably be on the plays if you just need to get through the leg.

Fair Grounds - Race #4

#1 Majestical	Regrouping here after the flat Grade II run, but she looks likely to control the tempo in a short field. Dangerous with these from right up top.
#4 Zaffa	She's worth a look on the main track with a decent tracking trip in the cards against this crew, and she has at least been handling the main track well enough to turn in some quick works.
#2 Huck's Agenda	She rises off a couple of nice scores, and her baseline form makes her one of the main ones in here. Still, a mild worry about the race flow and her late-running style.
Race Summary	Majestical should be quick enough to find the front with this group, and I wonder if it might be a bit of a walk-the-dog scenario if nobody forces the issue on the backstretch.

MY VINO - Have to look at solely on class, with some of the best class figures of this field. Is worth serious consideration and may be a bet - strong Equibase Speed Figures (68 average) at today's distance and surface recently.

VLADISLAV - I unquestionably see portentous signs for this magnificent animal right here. ANDY CANT - Have to give this gelding a good shot. Ran a good outing in the last race within the last month or so. This gelding is at the same 1 mile distance he won at on Oct 13th, which was at a higher class level than today's event. This animal earns a lot of money per race. Number one in this race. SAILOR'S CHANCE - This gelding has been running at higher class levels previously. He did win versus better, a $5,000 Claiming race though. I believe this one is in the right spot today. Have to give this gelding a chance. Ran a solid race last out within the last month.
