My pick in this race is WINE AND WHISKY especially at a such a nice price. Perez has this horse running well and is a very strong selection based on the respectable Equibase Speed Figures put up in route races recently. This pony has to be in good form coming back to race so soon. Must be given a shot given the class of races run lately. HALO UNCLE - His 82 average has this gelding with among the strongest speed figures in this race. A solid 94 avg class fig may give this gelding a distinct class edge against this group. GODDARD - Looks very strong versus this group of horses in this race and should be one of the early speedsters.

EASTER SONATA - This thoroughbred coming off a good contest in the last month is a win candidate in my book. Taking a trip down the ladder based on class rating points; has the capability to make her presence felt. MS JINXY - I have to like this filly's chances to win at the shorter trip. You always have to be on the patrol for money generating rider/trainer teams; we have one right here. This filly is rounding her way back into shape. Should perform well today. I like that most recent race on March 5th at Turfway Park where she ended up second. PINIT ANNIE - Trainer Axmaker moves this horse down the class scale to face a lower class field. Look for a sharp race given the class advantage. It looks like Contreras had to 'know' this filly on February 27th when riding her for the initial time. Back aboard again today. Here is an appropriate handicapping angle that I've used many times before. Play a filly (like this one) getting Lasix for the 2nd time. Look for this one to go gate to wire in victory at some decent odds right here. Ran sixth in last race, but not more than 5 from the lead at the finish line.

VIBORA - Speed figures of 65/62/59 are headed downward. Today's event is 5 furlongs. Hasn't finished in the money in a short distance affair in the last 60 days. Not the greatest of signals. ALWAYS IN VOGUE - Generally I need a sprinter to have some recent success in short distance affairs in order to wager on her. When looking at today's Equibase class figure, she will have to register a better speed figure than last race out to battle in this dirt sprint. RABBI ROSETTE - There's speed, early zip, and more early zip in this race. Doesn't look too good for this animal. No picnic to play any racer in a sprint race at 8/1 when she hasn't shown any successful endeavors in sprints in the last sixty days.
