SERGEANT SINATRA - With a strong 60 average speed rating at the distance, seems well suited for today's contest. Has some interesting angles which make this entrant a bet.

LANSDOWNE (GB) - I have to figure Ortiz is making a good move here. This gelding can only be aided by the shorter trip. A repeat of that last race on Mar 3rd where he notched a speed rating of 97 looks high enough to score in this race. CHASING RAIN - Have to give this gelding a good shot. Ran a good race last race out within the last thirty days. A win percentage like 33 is terrific for any rider/trainer pair. This gelding's last speed rating recorded on March 12th is at the top in last race speed ratings. The improved Equibase speed figs over the last 3 races is solid. Silva drops him in this race conditioned properly and ready to go. TRUTH SEEKER - This equine is tops in earnings per race. He looks solid in today's event. Had a solid closing move last out, running the last quarter in less than 25 seconds. A similar performance today, and it's straight to the winner's circle.

WHERE'S THE LOOT - Finished first in his most recent race with a pedestrian speed fig. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this group. HAPPY DANCER - This gelding gave a less than rousing performance last time. Don't feel this vulnerable equine will make an impact in today's race. That last speed fig was run-of-the-mill when compared with today's class rating. JOHN DUNBAR - Earned a quite unimpressive speed fig in the last race in a $10,000 Claiming race on March 24th. Not likely to see an improved performance off of that fig.

I like PRINCESS HALIME here. With Batista uptop her, this mare should be able to break out early for this race. Had one of the best Speed Figures of this field in her last outing. Has to be considered against this group displaying competitive numbers lately and an average speed rating of 60 under similar conditions. TALL GIRL - Recently Calderon has provided investors with a quite good winning percentage with horses travelling in dirt route races. Earning some good dough in dirt route races. WICCA WISDOM - Could provide positive profits based on very good recent Equibase Speed Figures with an average of 62. With a +4 ROI, this jockey and trainer duo has produced solid profits lately for players.

The “Lucky Strides” promotion this March at 1/ST BET and Xpressbet offers a $10 bonus when you bet $100 or more at select tracks each Tuesday and Thursday. Parx will be the track spotlighted for this Tuesday. Here’s how I’ll approach that card with the help of the Betmix Angler database.


Parx: Race 6

#4 Mildoon (9-2 morning line odds) rallied nicely when second-best to a total win machine favorite at the class level last time out. Trainer Miguel Rodriguez’s local March numbers are wild with 31% wins, 50% in the exacta from 16 starts and a $2.88 ROI for every $1 bet. He’s had 8-1 and 22-1 winners with 6-1, 9-1 and 13-1 runners-up among them. Win bet #4. Daily Double 4 with 4,6 to next play.


Parx: Race 7

#4 Romantic Gamble (10-1 morning line odds) goes first off the claim for a red-hot Mike Pino barn that won 2 races yesterday (including a $17 winner) and is 16-38 (42%) during the month of March at Parx. Horse has been knocking on the door vs. lesser while racing for a 9% trainer and the confident class rise here won’t need much “move up” to deliver. Should be the longer price of 2 Pino entries here as #6 Backside Buzz also rises in class off the claim, but from Jamie Ness, so there might not be as much improvement. Win-place bet #4. Exacta box 4-6.
