The Nuggets won the season series 3-1, but the Timberwolves have been a thorn in the Nuggets’ side recently. Last year, it was Minnesota who swept the regular-season series, so they have what it takes as the six seed to give the Nuggets all they can handle. The Nuggets have the best offensive rating in the NBA, as they value the basketball and take advantage of every possession. Nikola Jokic is unstoppable in the paint and is outstanding at getting his teammates involved in the offense. The Nuggets’ struggle is their inability to force turnovers on defense, as they are dead last in steals and forced turnovers. The Timberwolves should be able to keep the game close as long as their errors are not self-inflicted. Anthony Edwards status for today’s game is in question, but he practiced this week and should be ready to go. The good news is that Edwards would avoid Peyton Watson defending him as he will miss today’s contest with a hamstring injury. Denver has a lot of holes in its defense, which it can get away with because it is outstanding offensively, but teams can certainly stick around. Julius Randle should have a big game, and Donte DiVincenzo is always a threat from downtown. Look for Minnesota to do enough to stick around down the stretch. Take the Timberwolves and the Over. No parlays.

We have taken advantage of the Phillies’ woes against left-handed pitchers a lot so far this season, and until the oddsmakers adjust or the Phillies can start scoring runs against them, it’s silly not to keep riding against them. We got a layup with the Cubs the other night and once again a slam dunk with the Braves in two blowout routs. Atlanta’s bullpen has been better, and starting pitcher Chris Sale has looked solid in three of his four starts this year. Again, the ball is in the Phillies’ court to break out of their slump against lefties, and we will continue to wager against them until they break out of that slump, especially when the odds are in our favor. Take the Braves.
