Rotation # 541
Pistons -2.5 over Magic
It’s weird seeing the Pistons as only slight favorites as the #1 seed, but Orlando, other than one quarter in the last matchup, has really played well. Orlando is a young team that will have a tough time cracking the stout Detroit defense. The Pistons are the best team in the league at forcing turnovers and should have opportunities to score a lot on the fastbreak. It’s going to be tough for the Magic to slow down Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren in the paint area. Detroit certainly won’t be taking the 8 seed lightly, as this series has been a battle. Look for the Pistons to lock in on the defensive end and get control of the series. Take the Pistons.

Nationals/White Sox Over 9 runs
Irvin/Schultz
The White Sox have struggled against right-handed pitching, but it’s hard to trust Nationals starter Jacob Irvin. Washington has a great slugging percentage against left-handed pitching, which could be trouble for the youngster Noah Schultz. Both bullpens are among the worst in baseball; in any given inning, one team could put up a big crooked number. Like last night, I don’t trust the relivers to have a clean sheet. Take the Over.
