Presque Isle Downs - Race #1

#1 Mi Babe	She was never really involved in the special weight debut at Prairie Meadows last year, but she's back on the drop into a cheaper spot with what at least feel like a couple of decent local works along the way. Get a look at her.
#3 Hot Gamer	Probably would have liked to see her finish the last one off, but I like that she didn't quit when headed while proving a good fit at this level over the local footing. Not facing a lot of other serious pace -- might drill these.
#2 Burn It All	She's got a couple lines on her page that aren't all bad, but she has had her share of chances and needs to turn the tables on Hot Gamer from the last one. That said, she's going second off the layoff and might be fast enough to find something like a first-run trip behind 'Gamer.
Race Summary	Mi Babe might be an OK price with the mild Prairie Meadows run on her page from last summer, and I wonder if she's ready for better at this level with the locals. Hot Gamer, Burn It All make obvious sense.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #4

#2 Wetlands Willy	Not thrilled with his first two races back, but he might get an OK run of things in a race with a murky shape on paper, and there isn't anything to be afraid of in here. Why not?
#1 Drive By Johnny	He finished up well enough on the Laurel turf last out to think he hits hard if he can find something similar over the local footing. The one to beat.
#6 Mr. Impatient	Isolate his route runs and the overall form gets a lot more appealing -- wouldn't be any surprise to see him in the frame late with these while getting back around two turns.
Race Summary	Wetlands Willy is tough to trust late, but he has occasionally shown some tactical pace and been able to grind out decent efforts from there. Might get what looks like first run.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7

#1 Wow Whata Party	He didn't miss by much last out when finishing up well in a common race, and I think you hope that the other two potential forward players take shots at the likely chalk up top to set things up for this late run.
#4 Grounded	He does such good work here and has that dangerous route pace -- might be foolish to play against him here. Still, his best game comes up top, and there is another fairly committed front-end horse drawn just inside of him. He can win with a pressing trip, too, but I am willing to take a shot.
#5 He's a Mess	Beat a couple of these in that score last out, and he has typically turned in a few sharp efforts every season here, so it wouldn't be a shock to see him hold form enough for another good one.
Race Summary	Wow Whata Party has been a pretty solid finisher locally, and I think he's got a chance to get last laugh with this group at an OK price.

Race Summary	MY VACATION rallied into photo-finish view in the same spot when last seen on the turf in the Fall, then he overcame post 10 with a last-to-first move in a route race on the synthetic track. He returns off a trio of recent workouts for his new connections. The price is right for a win and place bet and 3-8-10 exacta box.

COCOA NIMBUS - Dropping in class rating points from her May 21st race at Churchill Downs. Based on that valuable data, I will give this one the edge. TIZA SMOKESHOW - This filly is in fine condition, having run a strong race on Jun 15th, finishing third. Took a big class drop last out, and I think she may have needed it. Lake enters her at a similar class level today. I'd expect an improved performance. Here is an appropriate handicapping angle that I've used many times before. Play a filly (like this one) getting Lasix for the second time. GLORIFY IT - Pino sends this one into a race for the first time. With a win percent of 25 with first timers, I'll give this one a good look. A win percentage like 37 is terrific for any jockey/conditioner twosome. First-timer has been working over this very track. I think that's a big plus in her favor. A solid handicapping angle is getting Lasix for the first time. Pino gives it to this one for this clash.

SHE'S STORMING - Is hard not to look at based on speed figs which have been quite good - 58 avg - of late. I can't pass on this mare given one of the best rider and trainer combos on the grounds. CAPETOWN CANDY - Have to examine solely on class, with some of the strongest class figures of this field. Has to be given consideration against this group of animals displaying decent figs recently and an average speed rating of 63 under similar conditions.

ROLLIN IN SPIDERS - You should normally gamble against favorites that haven't raced or show no activity in the morning over the last few weeks. SCARED CAUSE - This runner made little impact last time out of the box finishing seventh. Don't see any chance of a reversal of fortune in today's race. This gelding notched a speed rating in his last contest which probably isn't good enough in today's race. MISTER BAD EXAMPLE - Just cannot bet on this mount. Didn't show me anything positive in the last race or on May 16th. When examining today's class rating, he will have to record a better speed figure than last time around the track to battle in this dirt route.
