2 GUS SWAYZE moves to the Carlos David barn via the claim and cuts back to seven furlongs on the dirt with blinkers added after stalking the pace and finishing fourth in a stamina tweaking outing going a mile on the turf. The barn, 19% with the surface switch, tabs Miguel Vazquez to ride. 1 COMMENDATORE, a sharp $35,000 maiden winner at the distance two starts back, drops to the $17,500 level after breaking thru the gate, vying for the lead before fading to finish last vs $50,000 starter optional claimer going six furlongs on a good track. 3 SURFER’S JOY is stepping up after becoming a two-time winner when he defeated $8,000 two lifetime claimers going a mile. 1 NOBLE PRIDE, a half-brother to hard-knocking local runner Noble Drama, stretches out to a mile after chasing the pace and finishing third going seven furlongs. Trainer David Fawkes finds an ideal spot to step this gelding up from $35,000 maidens to special weight competition. 5 WORDONDASTREET is making his first start since prompting the pace and finishing fourth at this level and distance in May. The recent workout, although it’s on the slow side, indicates she’s ready for the task ahead. 1 LOOKS TO KILL is dropping to the $8,000 level after following a second-place finish at the $12,500 level with a late running fourth vs $16,000 two lifetime runners last out. Victor Barboza Jr adds second-time blinkers for this assignment. 2 THE COROMOTO is turning back after tracking the pace and weakening to finish fifth behind the top choice. The cutback to five furlongs should help her cause. 1 WINNING DEFENSE will depart from the rail after rallying to finish third behind Ignis Cor and in front of The Coromoto last out. David Fawkes has Micha Husbands named to ride. 8 LATCH THE HATCH, a five-time local winner, is stretching out to a mile for the first time after the consistent sprint campaign for trainer Joe Orseno. He can steal this race if left lone on the front end. 2 NOTHINGSUBTLE is back in a competitive spot after following a well-meant second at this level and distance two starts back with a poor showing in a $70,000 overnight handicap last out. 4-Finvarra A (6-1)-The grinder drops and should fit nicely with this group. Came home in 55.4 in last versus this kind and went off at 40-1 from post 7. Not expecting those odds but should be a juicy price. Could land in the pocket behind the program chalk #2 who is stepping up. If Jordan Stratton fires out the Dilloian entry it could be the best down the lane.

#7 What's Your Name	Check him out on the tote and track, but I wonder if he's ready to go with a couple of forward-looking works on his page ahead of this. Fresh face might like this trip.
#4 Nessy	He should be in a good spot near the top throughout, but I worry about the way he has given away ground late in both of his starts and wonder if he's vulnerable to getting picked up late again.
#8 Trashy Mission	He might get a great attacking trip from out here, and he won't have to come forward a whole lot to get the better of a couple of the ones who beat him last time around. Upside play.
Race Summary	What's Your Name and Trashy Mission are the two I'm most interested in for the multis, and I think Nessy will be in the mix throughout for a share.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #6

#4 Halon	He has a class hike to handle, but the good news is that the winner of his two-back race has already stepped up to try this level and turned in a good effort -- coupled with this guy's next-out win, I think there's a lot of live form here.
#7 Via Della Spiga	Solid try when second best on the rise last time out, and he's in the picture again if he can hold that form through another start. Dangerous.
#1 Manoah's Glory	Worry that he's going to be overbet in this spot, but I think the recent form fits well enough with this crew. Mild worry on perceived vs. real class, too.
Race Summary	#4 Devil Anse is another I'm interested in here, as he's got good back synthetic form and has been in with deeper groups in a lot of those dull recent starts. That said, Halon is in sharp form right now and earned this chance to win right back against better.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7

#1 Certain	Might be enough pace lined up in here to set the table for something from off the pace, and he wasn't too far behind a few of these last time out. Price might be OK.
#8 Kalahari Not Sorry	Considered him on top with this dangerous pace, but I think there might be enough pressing types lined up to keep him honest on the engine. He'll let it rip and see if he can hold.
#3 Heavy Pour	Solid form so far this season probably leaves him still with a little bit of potential upside in the third start of the campaign, and he's got some versatility in his running style that makes him dangerous from likely just behind the speed out wide.
Race Summary	Certain has tables to turn out of the last couple races, but I wonder if the addition of some more pace to the meeting this time around will help him get the best of them from off the splits.

Race Summary	VICTORIOUS SECRET has to carry her speed farther after she dueled into the stretch in a 5F sprint on the Tapeta surface and in a one-mile follow-up on turf before tiring in the stretch. But her last race stands out as the middle fractions were much faster than a $25,000 optional claiming race on the same card and the final time was 4/5 faster. Make a win and place wager on today’s Best Bet and play 3-1 and 3-4 exactas.

Gulfstream Park - Race #3

#1 COMMENDATORE (3-1)	Can be excused for gate mishap in latest, win two back at 7F stands out.

SPEAKER'S LOBBY - Have to give this gelding a good chance. Ran a nice effort in the last race within the last 30 days. Gelding will add blinkers to the equipment package today. That often leads to an improved performance.

Together they've been winning at a clip of 50 percent. This filly is very reliable, frequently finishing in the money. Always beware of the longer priced equine when a trainer has an 'uncoupled' entry in a race. You have to consider this fine animal in today's contest. She has been claimed out of her last two contests. LADY AUTHENTIC - Looking at today's class rating, this pony is encountering an easier bunch than last time around the track at Louisiana Downs. This filly is rounding her way back into shape. Should perform well today.

This filly looks good here since Hamm has a very solid win percent with horses going this distance. CATPUCCINO - Has been running soundly lately and ought to be close to the lead early on. Wolochuk and Cedillo have a good win percent together.
