We took the Mariners on Saturday and are backing them again on Sunday. That walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth should give Seattle a nice boost, while Minnesota will likely still be feeling the sting of the late collapse. Kirby threw six scoreless innings in his most recent home outing. Bradley’s road ERA sits a full run higher than his mark at home, and his lone career start in Seattle was rough—he posted a 13.00 ERA and 3.00 WHIP after surrendering nine hits and five earned runs in just 3.1 innings. Kirby’s only previous home start against the Twins produced a 5-0 Mariners victory; he limited them to four hits while striking out ten over seven shutout frames. Minnesota’s bullpen has struggled all season, and that showed again in the ninth inning Saturday. Seattle needed just two relievers yesterday compared with five for the Twins.
