As a whole Cuse isn't playing well. None of the stars have picked up for when Melo went out. If Jardine and Joseph play like they did the last 2 games, this one will be either a one possession game or a K-st win. The K-st center Rodriguez played like a beast in the Big 12 tourney and in their 1st round win. There really isn't a Orange player that can match up with him if he demands the ball like he did on Thursday.

2** Oakland/Buffalo under 165.5(2pm) rot # 541/542 - Not sure on Tuesday, they will not be able to compete if they try to run all day with Oakland. This one may start out fast but then look for a big slowdown as the game goes on. It probably will end up in the 80-72 range.



2** VCU +6 over Indiana(7pm) rot # 531 - The VCU press much like the style USF plays is just something that teams don't see enough to be prepared for on short notice. The IU guards will have their hands full just getting the ball over the time line today. VCU will have a run in them because there will be at least one stretch in this game where IU struggles with the press. Wichita st plays much the same style as Indiana so in essence VCU got a scrimmage game last time out. This game comes down to the wire making the 6 pts a nice cushion.



2** New Mexico/Louisville under 129(9:30pm) rot # 529/530 - New Mexico is 58-0 when holding a team under 60 pts in a game in the Steve Alford era . Last game they were way too soft on defense and almost paid the price vs a solid LB st team. The flying Pitinos(aka L-ville) love seeing a drag out physical game themselves and will be more than happy to get into a game where both team score around 60. Louisville 1st plan of attack in every game is to physically beat you down which reaps rewards at the end of the game. L-ville can't do this at a high pace so look for a slower 1st half to keep the score low.

This is a very intriguing match-up as it features two teams with dramatically different styles of offense. Wisconsin sure does garner a lot of respect from the odds makers, as Vanderbilt is the trendy team at the moment yet Bucky enters as a slight favorite. That is because their style of offense will slow down the Commodores and led to numerous wide open shots and back door lay-ups. Vanderbilt struggled to put away the 12th seeded Crimson on Thursday whereas the Badgers cruised to a victory over Montana. Wisconsin can guard people on the perimeter and they also have the bodies down low to contain Festus Ezeli inside the paint. The Badgers have been given a spark with the emergence of Rob Wilson who scored 30 points against Indiana last week in Indianapolis and he and Jordan Taylor will led this team to the Sweet 16 yet again! Wisconsin is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against SEC teams. The Commodores are just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Saturday games.

By now we have seen that the MWC has not done very well in the NCAA Tournament losing three of four games and their only win coming against a mid-major program in Long Beach State. I really like this Cardinal team, as they have much better perimeter players than the lobos and they also have the size inside to match-up with Drew Gordon. Coach Rick Pitino, who is 39-15 during his career in the NCAA Tournament, moved to 13-3 in initial games thanks to a 69-62 triumph over Davidson in the second round on Thursday. Two years ago the Lobos were a similar seed in the Tournament and got bombed by an average Washington team that was a double digit seed. This is as far as they will go again tonight. Louisville is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Big East > Mountain West.

3 Unit Play Take #529 New Mexico +1.5 over Louisville (9:40pm est):

You have to wonder just how much gas is left in the Louisville tank right now. This is a team that really only likes to play seven guys in a game. Not only did the Cardinals win the Big East tournament last weekend by winning four games in four days, they were also asked to travel out west for their first two games of this tourney.

New Mexico is one of the most underrated teams in the tourney. They came out in their first game and made a very good Long Beach State look bad. The Lobos have been under the radar all season long having covered 23 of their last 28 games overall.

New Mexico isn't getting nearly the respect they deserve. This may be our last chance to get them at a bargain price like we do this one. I made New Mexico the favorite here in this one. Play New Mexico and the points. My MLB season is less than three weeks away and I am ready to roll. I had a huge season last year and will look to do the same again this season.
