      Triple-Dime Bet

Packers on Thursday night. The Packers are finally looking like a football team rather than a walking M-A-S-H unit. Star players, including Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley are expected to be on the field and play the entire first half with the rest of the Packer regulars. And that means the Cincinnati defense will have to deal with Aaron Rodgers - with most of his weaponry in place. I also like the fact that a couple of Packer veterans and HC Mike McCarthy have both said they are in this game to win it. And after the way the banged-up version performed last week in a 35-10 loss to the Browns (we had Cleveland) I expect the regulars to play with intent. Green Bay's reserves give me much more confidence than Cincinnati's. I don't like the QB rotation once Andy Dalton leaves the game for the home team. The Bengals are 2-0 in preseason play and the motivation isn't quite at the same level as Green Bay's tonight. And finally, after watching the Bengal defense get torched by Matt Ryan, I suspect Rodgers and the gang will have a big night against the Bengal pass defense. In fact, Atlanta's four QBs completed 41 of 57 passes against Cinci, for 406 yards, 2 TDs and just 1 pick. The Bengals managed just 2 sacks despite 57 drop-back opportunities. I'm laying the points with the Packers on Thursday night..
