Analysis:
Granted the Clippers are playing well. But this is their second game in two nights and fourth matchup in five days. The Clippes are 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 road contests versus a foe with a losing home mark. The Clippers have failed to cover in four of their last five away games.
Charlotte has fallen back after a surprise beginning. The Bobcats are mired in a nine-game losing streak. Still, they are a much improved team capable of springing upsets having beaten Indiana, Dallas and Milwaukee. In their second to last home game, they lost by two on a buzzer shot to the Knicks.
The Bobcats received a boost at yesterday's practice when owner Michael Jordan played one-on-one wiÊth several of the players. Expect a strong effort from the Bobcats while the Clippers take it easy in a tired, let down spot.

Denver is coming from a win at Detroit yesterday, where they started the game terribly and so, they were quickly down by 17 points. Fortunately for the Nuggets, Detroit was on a bad spot and with a poor bench, Denver was able to turn around the game. Detroit showed once again that they struggled in defending the opposing guards, so Ty Lawson had 9-17 FG and 7 assists. With that, the Nuggets had good numbers on pick and roll ball handler plays, spot ups and cuts. Andre Iguodala and Danilo Gallinari struggled on their outside shooting, but Corey Brewer compensated that with 6-11 FG and 3-5 3pts. Detroit won the boards battle and Brandon Knight had a nice game, but Greg Monroe struggled badly with 1-9 FG and 5 turnovers. Detroit struggled in attacking Denver's bad transition defense, a sign of lack of energy and with a lot of turnovers and with Greg Monroe struggling, they had no chances.
For today, the Nuggets have a very tough spot that normally results in no-shows: three games in four days, with this game being also a back to back, with all three games being played on the road. This is also a final game of a road trip and they will face the Grizzlies at home next Friday. Denver has been rebounding terribly on this road trip and the truth is that they grabbed just 44.31%, 49.13%, 44.52% and 42.05% of the rebounds on their last four games.
On the other hand, Minnesota had three days of rest for this contest, so they have an excellent spot for today. On the previous game between these two teams, Denver won with a comeback win on the 2nd half, on the first game that Kevin Love played this season. He crushed Denver on the first half, but then had no legs to repeat the same feat on the second half. Minnesota with Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Love and Andrei Kirilenko should be able to take advantage of Denver's rebounding problems, besides the fact that the Wolves have a great rim defense and they will be able to limit Denver's offense that likes to attack the rim and with them struggling at the rim and being forced to try jump shots on a poor spot, this won't go well for them tonight.
Minnesota is also #3 on transition defense, therefore the Wolves have the spot and the matchup to have an easy win tonight and so, I'll be taking them in here.

In the future, we might not have as many selections on days with lighter action. We might step-out more on Saturdays with 3 selections. If you take a look at Savannah State's program, it is quite an accomplishment. When Horace Broadnax took over this school, they were 0-28 under Ed Daniels Junior in 2005. Last year, this team won 21 games and lost in a post-season game to Tennessee. How far they have come. This team has done well against top caliber squads this year. And, that is how they built their program. They faced top caliber competition, got crushed, but got paid to play these schools. This is the same school that had their Football program face Oklahoma State recently and gave up 80+ points. But, they also got paid $500,000 for that game so I guess it was worth it to build their own respective program. This team is led by two seniors in Hassan and Blackman and they get significant contribution from two juniors as well. This is a senior laden team and it showed against the likes of Central Florida as they lost by just 3 points on the road and also lose to Florida who I have as the 3rd best team in the nation in my rankings by just 18. The fact they lost to Norfolk State looking ahead to this game is a positive as well. Heck, this team nearly beat Middle Tennessee State at home as they are a top 40 team and lost to them by 3 points. With over 80% of the public on Ohio State here, I like Savannah State to do well as they are a top 30 defense in America. Look for them to make this a very slow paced game. I have this game as a 60-42 contest as Savannah State likely falls inside the spread this evening.

Cleveland comes off an emotional win over the Lakers and it was an opportunity for Irving to step up into the limelight even more. After such a big win the public would like to back the 5-17 Cavs at 52% and Indiana looks to bounce-back at home. I like Cleveland to revert back to losing as they likely will have a let down here and Indiana comes off a tough loss against OKC on the road losing 93-104 and also lost to Denver in the game before at home. Indiana needs a big win at home and I suspect they will rely on their defense to do it. Remember, Cleveland lost to Minnesota by 18 and Detroit by 10 earlier this year so it is possible for them to lose this game by a double-digit margin especially with a hungry Indiana team. The Clippers come off a nice win against Chicago and you'd suspect that this team that has plenty of players that want to get "theirs" will feast on a Charlotte defense rated in the bottom 25th - 30th in the league. Combine that with Charlotte coming off a tough effort against Golden State in which they did not shoot well, I suspect they will get up to play the Clippers at home. I look for this game to have the pace of the San Antonio vs. Charlotte game which led to more than 230 points. I have the Clipper total at about 206 today. Sacramento comes off getting hammered by Dallas giving up 118 points on the road and you would think that this team will show some pride offensively today. Sacramento is not a defensive team by nature and they bounce-back on the offensive end. Plus, Milwaukee comes off a big win on the road at Brooklyn and they are probably in for a let down here at home. The Over is 5-0 for the Kings off a straight up loss and the Over is 4-0 for the Bucks when facing the NBA Pacific. And, New Orleans has revenge coming into this game against OKC from an earlier season loss. They also come off looking ahead to this game and losing to Washington at home (comp selection on video was on Washington +5.5 yesterday). With the young New Orleans guards forcing an up tempo face with revenge and with OKC having to answer, look for the dog to push this game over today. I have the Sacramento game at 207 and I have the New Orleans game at 210.
