RICKENBACH 10* NBA *BRITISH BULLDOG* 8-3 L/11
New York Knicks at Detroit Pistons Jan 17 2013 3:05PM
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NBA *10* (Top Play) New York vs Detroit @ 3:00 PM ET - The Knicks will be in London on Thursday to take on the Pistons at O2 Arena. New York has struggled without PG Raymond Felton, as veteran Jason Kidd hasn't been getting it done in recent games. The Knicks had lost three in a row before defeating the Hornets 100-87 at MSG on Sunday. The Pistons lost at home in their last game, falling to Utah 90-87. Prior to that though, Detroit had won five of six. The Knicks are already thin up front with Marcus Camby and Rasheed Wallace out with injuries, and it looks like Tyson Chandler might not be ready to go, as he missed Wednesday's practice with an illness. The Pistons big men will likely have their way in this game, as the Knicks are going to be shorthanded in the front court. The play is on Detroit, a 10* Top Play selection.
Prediction: Detroit Pistons

St. Josephs at Virginia Commonwealth Jan 17 2013 9:00PM
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NCAAB *10* (Top Play) Saint Joseph's vs VCU @ 9:00 PM ET - The Rams have earned a spot in the top 25 after putting together an impressive 11 game winning streak. Their last three games were all close however, decided by eight points or fewer. VCU comes into tonight's home game against St. Josephs as a big favorite, expected to win by double digits. It might be asking a little much of the Rams to cover such a spread against a St. Joseph's team that has won four of it's last five. The Hawks (9-5) recently faced #14 Butler, giving the Bulldogs a run for their money, losing by just six points. Junior C.J. Aiken has been a beast down low for the Hawks, ranking in the top 10 in the country averaging 3.4 blocks per game. Aiken had a season-high seven blocks against Duquense on the weekend. The Hawks are also good at taking care of the ball, with the second fewest turnovers in their conference. The Hawks have been shooting the ball well in recent games, hitting 42% from 3-point range in their last two contests. They have also been great defensively, limiting opponents to just 37% shooting in their last four games. The play is on St. Joseph's, a 10* Top Play selection.
Prediction: St. Josephs

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NCAAB *8* (Regular Play) Michigan vs Minnesota @ 7:00 PM ET - The Wolverines will try to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season in a close game on the road at Ohio State. The Buckeyes won 56-53, as Trey Burke's last second shot rattled around the rim and bounced out at the final buzzer. "I thought it was going in. It looked good. I think it went in and then came out" said Burke. The Wolverines will have their work cut out for them as they face the Golden Gophers in Minnesota. The Gophers are still undefeated at home, and they played well on the road in their last game, coming up just short in an 88-81 loss to Indiana. The Wolverines have won three straight against Minnesota, and seven of the last eight head to head meetings. Despite dominating recent meetings with the Gophers, the Wolverines find themselves getting points in tonight's fixture. The Gophers have been successful this season with limited production off the bench, as their starters have accounted for 87% of their points so far. Lack of depth might prove to be the difference against a much deeper Wolverines team. The play is on Michigan, an 8* Regular Play selection.
