At 7 pm, our selection is on the Buffalo Bulls + the points over Ohio. Buffalo comes into tonight's game off its most impressive win of the season -- an 81-67 thrashing of the then-Top 25-ranked Akron Zips. Akron had won 19 games in a row (including all 13 in league play), and was 23-4 on the season, but was blown out at Buffalo as 6.5-point favorites. In many ways, this game wasn't a huge shock. The Bulls had been playing well -- at least on offense -- for a while before that game. Buffalo entered Saturday night's game shooting over 50% for its previous four games, and hit 56% (28-of-50) vs. the Zips. Overall, the Bulls have won four of six, and are also a perfect 5-0 SU their last five MAC Conference home games. Now, on Tuesday night, the Bulls get the league's second best team -- Ohio -- which has a 12-2 MAC record entering tonight's game. I like Buffalo to pull its 2nd straight shocker as it falls into a 76-25 ATS 'momentum' system of mine which plays on certain home dogs off SU home dog wins. Even worse for Ohio: it comes into this game off a 13-point win at Bowling Green, but is 7-18 ATS off a conference win, including 0-6 ATS this year after defeating a MAC foe by double digits. At 7:00 pm, our selection is on the Miami-Ohio Red Hawks + the points over Akron. The Zips were ranked 24th in the ESPN College Basketball poll heading into its game last Saturday night at Buffalo, but fell 81-67 to the Bulls, as 6.5-point favorites. That upset loss snapped Akron's 19-game winning streak, which was the nation's longest. I look for a letdown tonight vs. Miami, as Akron falls into several of my negative systems which go against certain teams off upset losses. These angles have records of 44-110, 15-66, 28-83, 36-96 and 94-181 ATS since 1991. Additionally, the Red Hawks are an awesome 81.2% ATS since 1991 as underdogs of +14 or more points if they're not off a SU loss. Take Miami. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the New York Rangers over the Philadelphia Flyers. It was one of the best rivalries in professional hockey for years, but lately the match-up between the Rangers and Flyers has been a bit anti-climatic and other rivalries like Washington-Pittsburgh and Chicago-Detroit seem to carry more pre-game excitement than this one. But a Flyers-Rangers game can still be pretty physical, although one of the most physical players for Philly won't be available as forward Harry Zolniercyz (don't worry if you've never heard of him) is serving a four-game suspension for a vicious hit on Ottawa's Mike Lundin the other night that will keep the enforcer out until March 13. Zolniercyz is just one of several Flyer players unavailable tonight and that's been a big part of the problem for this team so far in 2013 as they've tried to rely on Claude Giroux but in a team sport like this, even a superstar like Giroux needs a decent supporting cast around him and right now he doesn't have that. It also hasn't helped that goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov is having another inconsistent season, and in a town like Philadelphia which has seen great net-minders like Bernie Parent and Ron Hextall, a guy like Bryzgalov will likely wear out his welcome very quickly if he doesn't start playing better. The Rangers have dominated this series lately, winning nine of the last 10 meetings. Take New York. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
