Back to Back College Ball Selection winners as we take California +7.5 for the winner on Saturday and took Kansas -6 in a blowout win over North Carolina on Sunday. 2-0 College Ball weekend and we'll look to continue the 16-7 (70%) Run in College Basketball and a 16-9 (64%) March Madness so far.

Donnie Tyndall's team is a quality squad that is a top 40 offensive team. Their only knock is the fact they are outside the top 300 in turnover margin but that doesn't faze them as much when they are home if you will. This team has a rapid pace to their games and has won 26 ballgames this year. They were essentially in the tournament but gave up a lead to Memphis and lost to them in the conference championship in double overtime. They did not let that phase them too much as they have been able to produce a good result in the first game of their postseason birth by winning by 7 over Charleston Southern. This is the same team that beat Georgia in overtime earlier this year, lost to Wichita State by 7 on the road, beat Western Kentucky, lost to Arizona by 8 on the road and lost to New Mexico State by 8 on the road. Louisiana Tech comes off a huge win over Florida State and I suspect they will not get up as much if you will to face Southern Miss on the road. Louisiana Tech is the same team that lost by 24 to Denver on the road, 18 to New Mexico State, 8 to McNeese State and 12 to Texas A&M. Texas A&M is a top 100 team and Southern Miss is a top 60 caliber NCAA and this win means a lot to this program to keep advancing and increasing the popularity of this program. I like the fact that this game means something to Southern Miss and believe they keep it rolling today.

4-Unit Play. #608. Take New Orleans Hornets +7 over Denver Nuggets (Monday @ 8:05pm est).

The Hornets have an opportunity to make a big upset at home here. With around 73% of the public favoring the boys from Denver, don't be surprised to see New Orleans make an Outright upset or stay within the point value here. Although I did not like Utah coming back home after losing 3 straight on their road trip, grabbing the points always seems like a positive compared to laying the points. The Hornets come off beating the Celtics and the Grizzlies which goes to show their level of defense and I suspect their transition defense will be very strong today. Combine that with Denver not covering ATS wise on this streak and I wouldn't be surprised if they run against a brick wall here in New Orleans in a tight contest. You could wait and see if this line rises 7.5 as the day goes on given how much the public is favoring the Nuggets here. The home team has covered the last 4 contests between these squads and this is a solid public fade for this evening with New Orleans being in a good spot.

4-Unit Play. #64. Take Phoenix -135 over Detroit (Monday @ 10:05 pm est)
Phoenix is one of those teams that gets up to play the bigger named squads. You wonder why the 13-14 team is favored over the 16-11 team? Its because the 13-14 team is in a good spot at home today. Detroit comes off back to back wins over Anaheim and has won 4 of its last 5 contests. Notice that 60% of the public also favors Detroit on the road here as chalk which is always something to take notice of. With Phoenix coming off losing 5 straight coming into this game its more reason to wonder why this line is showing Phoenix being favored and that's because heads might start rolling if this team does not shape up soon similar to the Tampa Bay situation where there coach got fired. Look for Phoenix to step up here at home behind a strong home crowd as they get up to play Detroit and pick up a win here to turn the ship around. The line indicates as much and we'll also roll with it as well.

4-Unit Pick Take #55 Los Angeles (+120) over Chicago (8 pm, Monday, March 25th)
Third meeting this year between two of the top teams in the Western Conference. The Blackhawks sit at the top with 51 points and while Los Angeles has just 36 points is mainly do to the hang over after winning the cup last year plus that long layoff with the lockout. The Kings were slow out of the gates losing their opening game in Los Angeles to the Hawks 5-2 and then followed that up by losing seven of their first ten games to start the season. The Kings despite losing their last two games have played better hockey winning 14 of their last 21 games since that slow start. Chicago got off to a historic start but since losing their first game in regulation on March 8th in Colorado they have gone 3 and 3 in their last six games. The Hawks are good but I don't think their as good as their start to the season would suggest, this is a deep Los Angeles team that plays a sound hockey game. I think we will see a playoff type of game tonight in Chicago and the Hawks are without top forward Marian Hossa and maybe Andrew Shaw who has the flu. Kings get some payback and a big two points in the standings.

2-Unit Pick Take Over (5.5) Toronto at Boston (7pm, Monday, March 25th)
These two just played in Toronto with the Leafs winning 3-2 and beating the Bruins for the first time in the last eight meetings. Toronto won despite putting just 13 shots on net which was just the third time this year the Leafs failed to put less then twenty shots on net this year and the first time in the last eight games they didn't put 25 or more shots on net. You have to give credit to a Boston defence that is playing well but the offense has struggled only scoring six goals on that four game road trip. The Bruins are back home I expected a break out game tonight against a Toronto team that needs to win with offense, look for a more open game tonight and grab the plus price with the over.
