Robert Ferringo's Picks For NHL Hockey
7-Unit Pick Take #4 New York Rangers (-1.15) over Pittsburgh (7:35pm, Wednesday, April 3)
Please Note this is our "Game Of The Year"
Anytime you stepout and make a big play you better have the most value in the line giving you a edge and while some might think that Pittsburgh who lost for the first time in fifthteen games last night would bounce back against a Rangers team that is out of the playoff picture right now and is a team that the Penguins have beat all three meetings this year would hold value. I think the Rangers are turning the corner, this is a team that has a good core of veteransthat won't panic even with the fact that they should be much higher in the standings. The Penguins lost their first game last night without Sidney Crosby, I don't think going forward that Crosby being out of the lineup will slow them down too much, they have played without Crosby for a lengthily time in the past. The Penguins have two key injuries on their blue line with defenseman Paul Martin and Kris Letang out which I think hurts them more. The Rangers are in full desperation mode sitting two points back of the Islanders for that final playoff spot and with back to back games against Pittsburgh this first one is extremely important. Look for a big effort from a New York team that is quickly becoming a bet on team for me.
