      2 UNIT = Minnesota Twins @ Baltimore Orioles - OVER 9.5 RUNS (+111)
      Listed Pitchers: Hendriks vs Arrieta
(Note: I'm risking 2.00 units to win 2.22 units)

We will go with the OVER here between the Twins and Orioles in a Friday afternoon match up here in Opening Week. The Twins are 2-1 after taking their first series of the season at home vs the Tigers. The Twins scored 2, 3, and then broke out for 8 runs here on Thursday. The Orioles also opened 2-1 in their first series of the year, as they took 2 of 3 vs Tampa Bay. The Orioles scored 7, 7 and 6 runs in those games. The Twins send Liam Hendriks to the mound who was 1-8 last season with a 5.59 ERA, .305 OBA, and 1.55 WHIP. On the road Hendriks had a 1-3 record over 7 starts with a high 7.39 ERA. Jake Arrieta will be on the mound for Baltimore, and he too had a rough year last year. Over 18 starts and 24 appearances he was 3-9 with a 6.20 ERA, .272 OBA, and 1.37 WHIP. At home he was 2-5 with a high 7.12 ERA in 2012. Note that the OVER is 8-1 in Hendrik's last 9 road starts, and the OVER is 5-2 in Arrieta's last 7 home starts. Both teams had their bats going Thursday afternoon and with the two pitchers each will be sending to the mound for Friday's game I like the OVER.

Knicks a hot bet heading into Friday's clash with Bucks

The New York Knicks are winners of 10 straight games, posting a 10-1 ATS (against the spread) record over their last 11.

Forward Carmelo Anthony has put up a whopping 90 points over the past two games on 66 percent shooting. Melo has been the offensive leader for New York, averaging 31.4 points in nine games since returning from a knee injury.

The Knicks return to Madison Square Garden on Friday when they host Milwaukee. New York has taken the past four meetings (4-0 ATS), including both clashes this season. The Knicks prevailed 102-88 at BMO Harris Bradley Center on Nov. 28 and triumphed 96-86 at MSG in early February.

Nevada-based oddsmaking service, The Sports Club, is suggesting a spread of New York -9 and a 207-point total.

George Mason was 30-43 from foul line in Game 2's 73-66 win, after its 81-73 road loss in Game 1; Santa Clara was 13-22 from line, 5-22 on arc, as star Foster was just 2-10 from arc, after being 5-11 in Game 1. GMU played only two starters 30+ minutes in Game 2; Broncos played three starters 33+ minutes. Santa Clara is playing fourth road game in last 12 nights- they scored 75+ points in each of last six wins, 67 or less in last five setbacks. Four of last five Santa Clara games, 12 of last 16 Mason games went over total, but teams playing third time in five nights- they all know each others' plays, shouldn't be many easy baskets. Patriots won four of last five home games, with only loss in OT to Towson.

CBI final: GMU soaring over totals

Before the Final Four starts on Saturday, the CBI tournament reaches its climax on Friday.

George Mason and Santa Clara clash in the third and final game of the College Basketball Invitational final and one of the most significant trends in college basketball will be front and center.

The over is 12-4 in George Mason's last 16 games.

GMU is scoring 72.3 points a game and allowing 69.6 points a game during the run. The Patriots put up an average of 64.4 points and yielded 62.4 in their 21 contests prior to the outburst.

George Mason hosts Santa Clara, which has played over in four of its last five contests, in Fairfax, VA in Game Three. The over is 1-1 in the final. The Mirage is the only Vegas book with a line. George Mason opened as a 1-point favorite. The total is set at 148.5.

The Patriots are coming off a 73-66 victory in the second game, while the Broncos took the opener 81-73.
