    2 UNIT = Seattle Mariners @ Chicago White Sox - UNDER 7.5 RUNS (-120)
    Listed Pitchers: Iwakuma vs Sale
(Note: I'm risking 2.00 units to win 1.67 units)

The White Sox won this afternoon's game 4-3 over Seattle, after the Mariners had won Friday night's opener 8-7. The Mariners are 3-3 now after splitting their opening 4 game series with Oakland. The Mariners have scored 3 or fewer runs in 4 of their 6 games, and are averaging 4 runs per game so far this year. The White Sox are 3-2 on the season, and they've scored 18 runs over their 5 games (just 3.6 runs per game). Sunday's starter for Seattle will be Hisashi Iwakuma who pitched 6 innings giving up 2 hits and 1 earned run in a win over Oakland in his first start of the year. Last season as a rookie he was 9-5 with a 3.16 ERA, .248 opponents batting average (OBA) and a 1.28 WHIP. Chicago will send Chris Sale to the mound. Sale went 7.2 innings allowing 7 hits but 0 earned runs (7 strikeouts and 1 walk) in a 1-0 victory over Kansas City in his first start. He is looking to have another great season after going 17-8 last year with a 3.05 ERA, .235 OBA and 1.14 WHIP. He was even better at home last year with a 9-3 record, 2.30 ERA, .215 OBA, and 0.98 WHIP. Note that dating back to last season the UNDER is 12-5-3 in the Mariners last 20 games vs a left handed starter. The UNDER is 37-18-3 in the White Sox last 58 games vs a right handed starter and 7-3 in Sale's last 10 starts overall. We've got two very solid pitchers on Sunday and two teams that aren't doing too much damage with the bats right now early in the year. I'm on the UNDER.

        ACCU-SCORE SOCCER

        Written by Shahan Ahmed
Director’s Football - Pick of the Week

        (1) Queens Park Rangers to win at 2.420 over Wigan Athletic
QPR is deep in the relegation battle, and Harry Redknapp’s Rangers army may not have enough to beat a top side, but even this shambolic side can win at home against a fellow relegation contender. I was clear to say that they can win, not that they will win. However, the computer feels quite strongly that Queens Park Rangers will win.

The computer favors QPR to win by an average score of 2-1. Further, Rangers won 57 percent of the 10,000 simulations. With bookies calculating 40.5 percent value on a QPR win based on public odds, there is value on this pick. Also with the payoff at 2.42, this a good return on investment. Sure, take ‘Arry and Queens Park Rangers.

Lakers at Clippers: What Bettors Need to Know

Los Angeles Lakers at Los Angeles Clippers (-5, 203)

The Los Angeles Clippers attempt to finish off a four-game season sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers as well as clinch the Pacific Division title when the teams square off at the Staples Center on Sunday afternoon. The Clippers will sew up their first division crown with either their next victory or Golden State’s next loss. The Lakers are a half-game ahead of the Utah Jazz for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Lakers have won three consecutive games after edging the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Utah holds the tiebreaker edge so Los Angeles has to win one more game than the Jazz to claim the postseason berth. The Clippers had lost four of five games before posting a 126-101 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. They are battling Denver and Memphis for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference and also trying to regain their earlier form that saw him rattle off 17 consecutive wins. “We’re going to have to up our level of play here at the end of the season and there’s a responsibility that goes with that for everybody,” Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said.

              TV: 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC

ABOUT THE LAKERS (40-36): The fear of missing the playoffs has fueled a solid late-season run that has seen Los Angeles go 23-11 since being eight games under .500 in late January. Guard Kobe Bryant has challenged his teammates with both his play and his words and the supporting class received the messages. “These are must-win games and I don’t want to go home,” forward Earl Clark said after the Memphis victory. “I want to make the playoffs. I don’t want to be on the Laker team that didn’t make it to the playoffs. I don’t want to be remembered that way.” Clark is averaging 15 points and 8.5 rebounds over the last two games.

ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (50-26): Forward Blake Griffin has been battling a calf injury that has hindered his production. Griffin is averaging just 13.4 points and 6.3 rebounds over the past eight games and collected just 13 total rebounds in the last three outings. Griffin has just one double-digit outing on the boards in 12 games. “Blake’s had a softball in his calf for seven games or eight games or whatever it is,” Del Negro said. “He’s been battling through that.” The Clippers last played Wednesday and Griffin was given plenty of rest in the three-day span with no games.

              TRENDS:

              * Lakers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
              * Over is 6-1 in Clippers’ last seven overall.
              * Over is 8-0 in the last eight meetings.
              * Favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

              BUZZER BEATERS

              1. The Clippers routed the Lakers 125-101 on Feb. 14 after winning the first two meetings by a combined 15 points.

              2. Clippers PG Chris Paul is averaging 24 points and 13.7 assists in the three wins over the Lakers.

              3. Bryant has missed all 15 of his 3-point attempts over the past four games.

Sunday Night Baseball: Angels at Rangers
                by Steve Merril

Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers (-144, 8.5)

It's an AL West showdown on Sunday Night Baseball as the Rangers host the Angels.

                Yu Better Believe It

Yu Darvish makes his second start of the season as he tries to top the one-hitter he threw against the Astros this past Tuesday. Darvish was magnificent against Houston although performances like that will probably be the norm against the Astros’ weak-hitting lineup. Now he takes a step-up in class against the Angels whom he faced six times last season. Darvish allowed 19 runs in those six games with 48 strikeouts. The righty actually had more struggles against Los Angeles at home where he had one of his worst starts of the season back on August 1. Darvish allowed seven runs on four hits and six walks in just five innings in that game which turned into an 11-10 victory.

                Dream Weaver

Jered Weaver got a no-decision in his last start despite giving up only a single run and two hits in six innings at Cincinnati on Monday. His problem was the first three innings where he threw 63 pitches which was the reason why he couldn't go deep into the game. Weaver is not the biggest fan of pitching in Arlington, posting a 6.48 ERA in his three starts there last year. Most of that damage came in one outing back on May 13 when he allowed eight runs and 10 hits in just over three innings. He beat the Rangers on September 28 in Arlington after yielding only two runs and five hits in seven innings.

                Injury Report

The injury reports for these two teams are relatively clean. The Angels are without Ryan Madson who is recovering from Tommy John surgery. He'll be big for their bullpen when he returns. Texas has a few key names that aren't available right no, including pitchers Colby Lewis, Joakim Soria, and Neftali Feliz who is expected to be out until early August due to ligament transplant surgery. The former Royals' closer, Soria, hopes to be back by late May after undergoing his own Tommy John surgery. Finally, Lewis also had elbow surgery and hopes to be back by late May.

                Trends

Angels are 20-6 in Weaver's last 26 starts vs. a team with a winning record
Under is 35-17-3 in Weaver's last 55 starts vs. a team with a winning record

Rangers are 11-4 in Darvish's last 15 home starts
Over is 5-2 in Darvish's last seven home starts

                Hitters to Watch

                Mike Trout 6-for-17 vs. Darvish
                Albert Pujols 4-for-17 vs. Darvish

                Elvis Andrus 23-for-60 vs. Weaver
                Adrian Beltre 13-for-65 vs. Weaver
