The season for the Kings have been marred by the uncertainty surrounding the future of the franchise and while it will be another losing year for the Kings, there have been some signs of promise in the first season under Keith Smart. The Kings have been erratic with the ability to beat good teams convincingly on occasion. Sacramento is a respectable (8-9) in the last (17) games and this squad does own a winning record at home on the season. In the last month, the Kings have wins over the Bulls, Clippers, and Warriors. Sacramento can do two things really well: It runs a fast-paced offense and when the shots are falling, it is incredibly difficult to beat. The Kings also have one of the best rebounding teams in the league and that prowess allows them to hang around in games against superior teams. When both of those areas are on, the Kings are a tough out. The Hornets will likely end up with one of the worst records in the league and New Orleans will play five of its final seven games of the season on the road. The Hornets are (2-14-1) ATS in the last (17) meetings in Sacramento with the Home team (22-8) ATS in the last (30) meetings and the Hornets are (1-8) ATS in their last (9) road games. The Milwaukee Brewers hookup with Chicago coming off a 3-6 loss yesterday. Its a good opportunity for them to bounce-back as they actually had 9 hits similar to the Cubs but came up with half the runs. The Brewers send Lohse to the mound and he is traditionally strong when his team comes off a team loss, and gave up 1 run in 6 innings to Arizona as his team came up short. I suspect he will have a quality bounce-back here along with himself as he did pitch well and he's getting back into his groove as he did not have much of a spring training which has been well documented. The Brewers do have experience against Feldman and given his lack of experience at Wrigley as he pitches there for the first time, I suspect he will continue to struggle for his new team and he will get his bearings on later in the season. He probably will do too much as he did against the Braves when he yielded 4 runs in less than 5 inning and the Brewers are one of the best fast ball hitting teams in the league with a potent lineup from top down. I like Milwaukee to bounce-back here today.

A heavyweight battle tonight in the Rockies, as the Nuggets host the San Antonio Spurs. Denver has surely been unbeatable on home hardwood where they have run off 20-straight wins. What is even more impressive than that is the fact that during this stretch they are 11-0 vs. teams that would be in the playoffs if the sesson ended today, with a winning margin of 14.8 points per game. San Antonio is certainly capable of playing with Denver, but not the way they are playing right now. The Spurs jare ust 4-4 over their last eight, and have not beaten a playoffs team on the road since the end of February. Lay the points on Denver in this one.

Reason For Pick: I'm playing on Milwaukee and Orlando to finish OVER the total. These teams have met twice this season. Both games were high-scoring. the first finished with 205 points. The second finished with 224. (Neither game went to OT, either.) I'm expecting another relatively high-scoring affair this evening.

After managing only 83 points at Miami last night, the Bucks should be looking for a much better offensive performance here. Facing an Orlando team which allows 101.6 ppg at home should help. Note that the OVER is 6-2 after they scored 85 or fewer points in their previous game. Also, note that the OVER is 9-5 the last 14 times that the Bucks faced a team which allows 99 or more points per game.

Likewise, the OVER is 9-4 the last 13 times that the Magic faced a team which allows 99 or more points per game. (The Bucks allow 100.2 ppg.)

The OVER is 8-3 when the Magic have played with two or fewer day's rest in between games.
