                  WEDNESDAY'S ACTION

                  (MLB)

*2 UNITS* SEATTLE MARINERS (-115) AND
                  *2 UNITS* 1ST 5 INNINGS: SEATTLE MARINERS (-115) AND
*1 UNIT* UNDER 6.5 SEA MARINERS @ PIT PIRATES (-115)
King Felix gets the start here today and once again the Mariners ace has started his 2013 campaign in a major way, posting a 4-2 record and miniscule 1.62 ERA through his first 7 starts this season. He has been even more dominant on the road, allowing 0 R in 3 of his 4 starts away from home so far this season, while lasting at least 6 innings in each. He is a dominant 3-1 on the road so far, with a mind-boggling 1.29 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and .192 BAA through 4 starts and 28 innings of work as the visitor. In fact, dating back to last season, he has allowed 2 ER or less in 9 of his L12 road starts overall. In 8 of those starts he has allowed 1 ER or less, with 5 of them being a big 0 R for the home team he is facing. Still, it is the Mariners and they have somehow managed to go 7-5 ML in those 12 games, although they are 3-1 in his 4 road starts this season. Felix has faced the Pirates franchise only once in his career and he was absolutely brilliant in leading the Mariners to a 3-0 win that day. He tossed 8 innings of shutout ball, allowing only 6 H and 1 BB, although it was back in 2007 and although pretty much everyone in the Pirates lineup that day is still in the Major Leagues, they are playing for a different team. Thus the righty doesn't have much experience against this current Pittsburgh lineup, but he has managed to keep Martin (3/17 2 RBI, BB, 6 K); Inge (4/22 2B, 5 RBI, 9 K); Sanchez (1/4 2 K) and Snider (1/9 RBI, BB) in check with a .173 lifetime average in 52 combined AB with only 1 XBH. Burnett has led his team to a 1-3 record in his L4 starts against Seattle, although he has pitched well enough to keep everyone of those games (except one) under today's total. He did square off against Hernandez in 2010 at Yankee Stadium and Hernandez made it clear that day who was the better pitcher. He pitched 8 innings of scoreless ball, allowing just 4 H and whiffing 11 Yankees, while Burnett was crushed for 6 ER and 12 H in only 7 innings of work to a team that was 25 games under .500 at the time. This one should be a nail-biter, but we'll give the edge to King Felix once again. Roll with the SEATTLE MARINERS in the 1ST 5 INNINGS and the GAME and make a smaller wager on the UNDER in this early-morning match-up........

*2 UNITS* UNDER 8 STL CARDINALS @ CHI CUBS (+105) AND
*2 UNITS* ST. LOUIS CARDINALS (-115)
Westbrook comes into this one with the lowest ERA in the National League currently at 1.07, and although his ERA is slightly inflated when he pitches at Wrigley in his career, we expect the score to stay low today. Westbrook is 2-1 in his career at Wrigley, but he does carry a hefty 6.14 ERA in those 3 outings, allowing 10 ER in only 18.2 IP on the south side. He does carry a 5-2 record overall in his 8 starts against the Cubs in his career though and he has allowed 2 ER or less in 4 of his L5 road starts, dating back to last season. He has yet to fail to last at least 6 innings in any of his road starts this season, and has only given up more than 1 R in one of his starts away from home in 2013 so far. He was 2-0 against the Cubs last season in 3 starts, all at home, allowing 5 ER in 19 IP (2.39 ERA), with the Cardinals destroying the Cubs by a combined score of 26-9. St. Louis had a 6-game winning streak snapped with yesterday's defeat and they also should come out for revenge in the series closeout game. Take the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS and the UNDER here.......

                  *2 UNITS* CINCINNATI REDS (-105)
The Reds picked up a huge boost with their come-from-behind victory in yesterday's affair with the Braves, capped off in huge celebration with a walk-off HR. This one being in Cincinnati and at the Great American Ballpark, we will roll with the home team Reds......
