NBA action report: Public loving the over in Game 6

The Miami Heat have an opportunity to close out their Eastern Conference finals series against the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 Saturday. Depending on where you shop, Miami opened as either 2 or 2.5-point road favorites. Most books currently have it at Miami -2.5; the same line for Game 6 in Indiana in the 2012 playoffs.

We talk to Michael Stewart, an oddsmaker with CarbonSports.ag, about the betting action heading into tonight’s tipoff.

Miami Heat at Indiana Pacers - Open: +2, 182.5, Move: +2.5, 183.5

Miami made a statement in Game 5, winning by 11 and forcing 17 turnovers. When Game 6 lines opened at Indy +2, all action went towards the Heat.

"We opened the Heat a 2-point road favorite and initially took all Heat money at that number," Stewart told Covers. "After about two hours from opening the game, we went to 2.5 on the Heat and since going to 2.5, we've booked nothing but even action at 2.5."

The total for Game 6 has seen the most movement, opening at 182.5 and moving to 183.5. Stewart says they've seen nothing but action on the over and it may see further movement.

"We opened 182.5 and just like game 4, we've seen nothing but over action," says Stewart. "We quickly went from 182.5 to 183 and just this morning we went to 183.5 on this game. I suspect we'll close 184 as we just can't write a bet on the under."
